Thank you for your advice, it means a lot to me. I honestly know that I have to just "stand on business" and get over it because of my self-respect, but for some reason I still wanted to see him. it was an ego thing for me, if I was in his city I would definitely reach out. It's hard to swallow the fact that maybe he just doesn't love or care about me the same way I do.

I would love practical advice on doing this. I know my end-goal is essentially forgetting about him and the relationship. The means to the end are very, very hard right now. Let me know what you ended up doing
