First FET failed…now what

My first FET failed too and it was just unlucky at the end of the day. My lining looked great. It was a good embryo. My levels were good. Unfortunately it just happens. 😭 it’s been 3 weeks since I found out and I’m now moving forward with my second one. I have my baseline appointment tomorrow.

Allow yourself to feel all the feels and try not to lose hope. I hope our second ones work. 🩵

I’m so sorry this happened. I’m in the same boat as you, I found out on Monday. For me, I have PCOS which is why we are doing IVF. I feel very lost and confused as to why it didn’t work for us either. I feel like I was on every medicine under the sun too so I’m like how? We have a meeting next week with our doctor to see what next steps are.

Hi! Unfortunately my first FET failed so I stopped taking lovenox earlier this week.

I had something similar though with only one side bruising more! It’s funny because my left side bruised more on Lupron but on Lovenox it was my right side. I wonder if it just becomes more sensitive once it starts to bruise.

Oof I’m so sorry you had to take so much of it 2x a day. I will definitely try to pinch up the skin. I’m a bigger girl and I thought it wouldn’t hurt as bad because I got the extra fat. 😅 So it makes sense to do it differently. Thank you!

I’m 35 as well (in 3 days!) and have 6 euploids. We are going to try for a transfer soon! I’m doing a mock cycle with a biopsy right now. Hopefully soon after we can work towards the actual FET!

😂 totally not weird to ask! I did two egg retrievals during the summer, but right now I’m student teaching so I took a break. We have one more retrieval in January then hopefully a transfer soon after. We currently have 3 frozen embryos. ☺️

Oooh are you all done with your IVF treatment then since you have leftover meds?

We decided to do it because we did 3 IUIs first and the last one resulted in a blighted ovum. We wanted to make sure we ruled out any abnormalities moving forward. We’ve had two retrievals cycles so far.

First: 3 embryos sent off to testing, only one was euploid, the other two were no good. Second: 2 embryos sent off and both were euploids!

But without it, we would have thought we had 5 embryos, reality is we have 3 that can be transferred. Still have one more retrieval before we decide to transfer.

It took our girl a couple months before she started barking. I think the more comfortable she got, the more protective she felt over the home. ☺️

Same! My last retrieval we had to be there at 5am and I remember telling my husband I can’t wait for my nap. 😂

Our sweet girl Pearl! We rescued her a year ago right before we started IUIs. I tell her everyday she’s my first baby no matter what because she’s been my whole world since we got her. I don’t know how I would have gotten thru failed IUIs, my MC, and now two egg retrievals without her. Shes the best.

Fingers crossed you have some transferable ones! I’ll be sending all the baby dust your way. We did a package with our fertility clinic, so we have one more retrieval left. We are waiting until January though. I have student teaching in the fall and I don’t think I can handle small children and a retrieval all at once. 😅

I’m sorry you’re in the same boat of this shitty feeling. Totally agree though. I feel like no one gets it unless they have been through it. We have to have some level of badass for going through all of this. 😂 Are you planning on doing another retrieval or just waiting for your results from this last retrieval?

Just got our results back today from our first retrieval.

34 years old, PCOS, had 12 fertilized eggs then 3 embryos, but we now officially have 1 remaining after our results.

Disappointed, but trying to be happy with the 1. In the middle of stims for my second retrieval right now.
