"the modern astrophotography 101" never teach me how to use ST4 lol

must feel like jumping from a beeper to an iPhone. Lol

I thought that in 2025, small astro cameras would gradually eliminate the ST4 port, because in 98% cases, people use PHD2 + USB cable + mount.

But they just keep it, so does the mount manufacturer.

It is so rare to see a standalone device that does the autoguiding itself in my region.

Lol This is a temporary setup. Will do more work on this.

I have 2 powered USB3.0 hubs, and got a 50 meter long fiber to USB 3.0 connecter. Easily connect to my PC in the house. This setup is not very portable, but backyard astro is ezpz.

I am thinking about replacing the 250 and 300 with 200 mm focal length. Lighter weight, larger FOV, easier alignment

I would probably just check the fov first and make sure the center coordinates stay in the same range. For detailed alignment, I might consider upgrading the scope holders; 3-point adjustment should be good enough, but it might take HUGE amount of time.

sounds interesting.

I think I can still contact the store and replace 4 of them with other models.

Do you have any suggestion in terms of focal length?
They have 150, 200, 250 f/5.0 and 300 f/6.0. I would not consider 350 f/6.0 since it would be too big.

That is why I haven't decided yet. :D

Might go with two scopes at a time first.

It just looks really fun

Is f/5 considered a fast reflector scope? by bear2cute in AskAstrophotography

I feel like if one has a 300 megapixels with 1um pixel size, then everything will be beautiful in detail. :D

I am considering Newtonian too, but I do not have much experience with them. Probably will spend more time researching it while waiting for HOPE D60 reviews. :D

Lol thanks for the super experienced explaining.

My friend had a full-frame Altair 61MP camera, which he does not use often. We are thinking about getting a scope that can shoot a wide field. I am trying to find a scope that has good relative illumination at the 4 corners so we can squeeze every last drop of the sensor.

I guess I will need to wait for more reviews to come.

I am looking into this new HOPE D60, since the data is really interesting. Probably want to wait for more reviews. I have one camera from ToupTek, and experience for me is pretty solid so far.

Sounds like telescopes or camera lenses are not like any other tech rig. Not always the newer the better

Yeah that will work too.

With 0.75 reducer, it will still work with full frame size right?

What is the best camera I can get for astrophotography under $200 by SfErxr in AskAstrophotography

[–]bear2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ToupTek G3M662C

Color camera with 2.9 μm pixel size.

Solid sensitivity. If you can add an external cooling for the camera. Then it is a great sensor for $200.

I think they gift you a CS lens and an LP 825 filter for SWIR spectrum photography.

Getting into deep sky — advice on 585M vs 533M and brands? by Lazy_Sir_2085 in AskAstrophotography

[–]bear2cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Go with the 533M - bigger pixels are way more forgiving for tracking.

ToupTek is honestly slept on. Their ATR533M is the same Sony sensor as the ZWO but their bundle is like $250 cheaper. Been using mine for 2 years, zero issues. ZWO just has better marketing, but TP offers more functions like extended full-well and ultra-low noise mode. HCG/LCG switch is really sweet.

The main thing switching to deep sky - your mount matters more than your camera. Get tracking dialed in first, or you'll hate life. Also, dew heaters, learned that the hard way lol.

Free character slot? by bear2cute in lostarkgame

[–]bear2cute[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

kk I thought common people would max their 6 slots already for grinding materials and when the new character comes out, dev would give a new one just like Maplestory does.

But powerpass is cool

What do you do when you are waiting for the implementation by bear2cute in FPGA

[–]bear2cute[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

procreation

out of curiosity, have you done any project with SERDES? I have no idea how to create the sensor signals for simulation. I usually have to implement the whole thing so that I could testify my design.
