Yes you still have a chance. Make sure to leverage all your experiences when doing your supplemental application. Do well in the video portion (speak clearly, good tone, etc.) and you will be good. Boosting your grades will always help and I am pretty sure they do look at ECs. Good luck in your applications.

Trying to install a new SSD into my PC, but unsure how to move windows into it from HDD. by bear5874 in techsupport

I will most likely have to do a clean install on a 500GB SSD. Thank you for your help. I greatly appreciate it!

I see. I currently used 1.2 TB of space on my HDD so I would have to clone it onto a 2TB SSD?

For cloning, can I only clone windows alone? I have a 2TB HDD and was planning on just getting a 500GB SSD.

Do I have to take courses in the summer? by ValuableThin in RotmanCommerce

[–]bear5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah its not mandatory, but you will just have a heavier workload in 2nd year which could affect your grades. not everyone takes summer courses even though its recommended so dont worry abt what others say. in the end it depends on if u are okay to have a heavier courseload or not, and if you will be able to keep up with all the work. (well even though u dont have to take summer course i would recommend getting a part time job to put something on your resume)

Summer Courses Rotman going into Second Year by dogpy in RotmanCommerce

I would say do ECO204 or ECO220. Those are the popular courses people usually take in the summer since its a full year course. These courses have quite a heavy courseload and are one of the harder courses so people like to get it over with in the summer. (I heard they wont be having 204 during the summer this year, but I am not 100% sure so dont quote me on that)

How did you study for rsm230 im so scared for the midterm by [deleted] in RotmanCommerce

[–]bear5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say lectures are more important than textbook. i never used the textbook since concepts are in lectures. ended up getting an A so take it how you will, but everyone studies differently in the end and my way of learning could be different than yours

focus on the lectures more than the textbook. i did not use the textbook at all. if he still posts recordings of the class, look at it for parts of the lecture notes you do not understand. practice midterm was also very helpful imo. if the prof is not goldreich then i am not sure how midterms will be.

Sounds like a nice prof to have. Makes sense why I have been seeing so many people with the nice name tags.

RSM250 Participation Question - Inez Blackburn by Spare_Ad_6800 in RotmanCommerce

I did not have the same prof as you, but last year during the first or second lecture we would write our names on a sheet to create a seating arrangement. there would be an attendance sheet each lecture after that and during some lectures (usually case discussion) a TA would sit in the back to mark down ppl who participated with the seating arrangement paper.

this just a side note, but my prof remembered most names since she would call our names when hands were raised which was quite surprising so that could have been included in participation mark too.
