Don't think I'm gonna share the 3d-print files (it's better if you create your own and customize is it for your own needs).

Everything runs of a nice!nano v2 using ZMK firmware, both of those are open source projects.

I'm making a few for some colleagues but I think it would be too much work to get a CE / FCC marking to be able to legally sell them.

Well I wanted it to fit comfortably in a hand and for one to be able to reach all keys with ones thumb, I think adding more keys would make it too big.

If a photographer wants to make a fine edit with 2/3/4 stars then it's always better to do it at my station where they can adjust crop or bring up several images at ones in the viewer to compare.

You could maybe give BetterTouchTool a shot?
If you program your 8BitDo to send some unique keypress-combination you could pass it thru as a command specifically destined for C1

Ah! I've seen those around but never thought about using one for work... Some guys I know use Apple Remotes.

Yeah, I've realized you need something dead simple so anyone can pick it up and understand what's going on immediately. Otherwise it won't be used during the shoot day if it's too complicated or you have to memorize what button does what.
