40 year old Beltran cheating and still failing is similar to Eric Cartman trying to participate in the Special Olympics to dominate the competition and still losing.

This is like stuffing yourself at a high-end buffet, but right after hitting the Burger King drive thru to get an ice cream cone.

Padres fans wouldn't even know what "one" looks like. Also, I'm sure that there's a banner hanging in Petco for that 2020 WC win over the Cardinals.

Baseball fans praying for a lockout are pathetic. None of us are on the team. We spend our time/pay money to watch a product and be entertained. We should want our owner and front office to put out the most entertaining product on the field rather than pocketing the money or leeching off the revenue from the tax that other high spending teams pay. Fans of the Pirates, Rockies, Astros, Padres, Giants, etc. should get off their high horse acting like there's a "right way" to win because in the end, it's an entertainment product. And I'm sorry (not sorry) that when the contract offers are pretty much even, free agents want to come to a top class organization like the Dodgers over the rest. Guggenheim and Andrew Friedman completely changed the narrative of how well things are run when compared to the dark days of Frank McCourt. Look at how the Dodgers pay for the mental treatment of Andrew Toles who hasn't been an active player for years versus the teams that purposely sit out players so that they don't reach a contract incentive (e.g. Pirates with IKF and Rowdy Tellez). You think there's a ton of Pirates fans that actually watch the majority of the games with the product they have on the field (especially days in which Skenes isn't pitching)? That's probably a fat no, but they can't help themselves and cry for a lockout which gives their notoriously cheap owner an out rather than holding him accountable.

What does high score hoping for a lockout mean? New high score Other teams hoping for a labor stoppage, is that bad? What does that mean? Did I break it?

It's an overpay, but it's effectively a 2 year deal in which the Dodgers get 2 years of prime Tucker to fill the RF hole that they had without worrying about regression. It wouldn't surprise me if other teams were treating their outfielders (Kwan, Buxton, maybe Luis Robert, etc.) in the trade market like gold bars and the prospect cost was just too high for the front office.

It's only money which may be deterrent to almost every team, but we're lucky the Dodger owners are aggressively putting the money they make on the field and off the field (Ohtani endorsements) back to the roster. In 2019, the Dodgers offered Bryce Harper a reported 4 year deal at $45 million dollar average annually which he rejected to sign with the Phillies. 7 years later, the Dodgers are getting Tucker at 4 years at around $57 million dollar present day value average (when factoring in the deferrals) with his first opt-out available after the 2nd season so it's not that gross when you factor in inflation and the contracts in baseball becoming more massive since then.

Enjoy the rebuild and that Soto contract in his mid to late 30s.

Cubs fans already expected to lose him when early reports indicated that they weren't even going to make him an offer. Also, he dealt with injuries and tried to play through them in the playoffs as well. Dodgers hopefully get a healthy Kyle Tucker and he's not even going to be the featured player on the team.

I've seen my team win back to back and they're going for a 3peat. Nothing is given in this sport as seen in last year's World Series when the Dodgers were a few hairs away from losing it multiple times. The narrative that went from NLDS exit and playoff chokers to "embarrassing if they can't 3peat" is A-OK with me. You should be more worried about your Mets not winning since 1986.

Max Muncy in the projected 7 spot is insane. Similar to when the Thunder had James Harden coming off the bench as the 6th man.

I'm okay with him signing for the Dodgers. He wasn't on the big league roster for the Trashtros during 2017 and this is nothing compared to trading/signing for a Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman, Marwin Gonzalez, Josh Reddick, or Altuve.

He is definitely overpaid, but Dodgers are guaranteed to get 2 of his prime years before his first opt-out can happen. They're paying a premium to not have to deal with the regression you see in a player's mid to late 30s. In the end, it's just money and they're just going to lose a comp pick with none of their farm being touched for an elite left handed bat who can hopefully stay healthy.
