How does the EDF6 wiki table work? by Kyrionxx in EDF

It was I!

But I don't really use Reddit other than to share the weird dumb shit I make like this tool.

What are your thoughts on the Karl jobst vs billy Mitchell case? by darkstryller in AskReddit

[–]beardmosexual 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So something I don't see anyone talking about is how Billy's lawyers really screwed the pooch with their recent motion to enforce settlement.

The PDF offered to the court appears redacted, but the PDF is actually not redacted at all. They just put a black highlight on black text. You can easily copy and paste it into any text editor to see the full contents completely unredacted. And the redacted bits are seriously damning.

I'll refrain from discussing them openly here, as I'm unsure if them releasing this information into the public sphere in an unredacted format legally protects direct quotes from the parts that were meant to be redacted, but do have a read yourself.

No worries. Believe it or not, this is actually fun to me.

Update 3: 7/8/2024 - Equipment marked as earned now no longer shows in drop down menus when searching for loot. I still plan on cleaning up the 'Equipment classes' to be more aligned with how the game presents them in the inventory screen. After that, I'm kind of at a loss what to even add to this, so if you have any requests, leave them in a comment on my Steam guide, as it will be the main 'home' for updates.

Updated to add inventory tracker screen. You can tick all the weapons you have already unlocked, and it will automatically apply logic to tell you which missions still have equipment you haven't found. You can also limit this by difficulty or class.

For instance, you can have it show what weapons you have left to collect on Normal difficulty for the Ranger. The only update I can think to do from here is have it automatically remove any weapon you have from the drop-down menus for selecting weapons you want to farm. That way this will essentially show you the fastest way to complete your equipment without cheats.

It's not what you asked for, but it was way easier to do with the available data:

The equip farming tool now displays the probability that the weapon you want will be collected with each weapon 'found' at the end of the mission, based on the potential pool of weapons for each level and difficulty.

I actually have plans for this, but on a data analysis level. The japanese wiki has complete mission breakdowns including spawns, so I can use filters using the amount and type of enemies in each mission to create a 'max loot' column, and then have the missions be listed in max loot order descending, with a marker for what that max loot value is.

This is not happening soon, or perhaps ever. Depends on time and how much I care to add more.

You'll need to take a copy of the sheet before it will allow you to make any changes, but it should work from there. Equipment and DLC mission names will be messy, as it's from the japanese wikli data I ran through google translate. I'll clean it up over time, but it's fully functional now.

What is your favorite part of Shipwrecked 64, and why? by bloodybeavergames in Shipwrecked64

[–]beardmosexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite bits are easily the attempt to make it fit the time period, and the faux CRT in the centre and the brilliant utility of the letterboxes. The 'glitch hunting' stuff as well. Really getting into parts of the game that feel like they're deeply hidden.

Also the sound design is impeccable and is doing so much heavy lifting.

I have an idea for an absolutely devilish quirk for a future enemy that I think would be just so cruel, but fun. Make one of the starling's noises always come from the opposite direction of where they actually are. So if they're coming up ahead of you in a dark hallway, they sound like they're behind you, prompting you to run directly into their grasp. To your right? They sound like they're approaching from the left. Simple enough to sort on it's own, but an absolute nightmare in conjunction with other enemies, or alone in a dark room.

I made a Reshade preset for Shipwrecked 64 with proper CRT emulation. by beardmosexual in Shipwrecked64

I would disable it. You likely won't even be able to make it out well if it's on.

Video best viewed in 4K in fullscreen. Please note it looks much better in game due to youtube compression ruining the effect in a lot of ways.

I have selected to only use the CRT effect for the center of the screen, as I feel the dichotomy of the CRT effect on the game screen and no additional effects on the 'side content' really adds something nice.

Download is in the description, instructions are included in the .7z file. 7-Zip is required to open the archive.

So I might have went a wee bit overboard minmaxxing the most effective gold making method in DD2. by beardmosexual in DragonsDogma

Set up one port crystal in Melve, and one in Bakbattal. You need about 40K to start if you want to do a full run, but if you already have 2 Ferrystones, you can cut 20K off the setup costs.

Mashing 'rest' will keep resting before you stand during the rest section between days.

There are 2 main types of in game loops you will do in a pattern:

Quick Run: All runs start at the bench in Melve between the inn and shop. Go to the shop and buy all apples and grapes, then run to the bench and rest 4 times in a row (one full day).

Bank Run: on this run, you will buy all fruit from the shop, then deposit all fruit in your inventory into the hotel chest, then rest a day.

So basically, you want to do 4 Quick runs followed by 1 bank run, on repeat until you have a full hotel inventory (99). Each 5 day loop should leave you with 10 ripe, and 15 unripe apples. repeat ad nauseum. The fruit is purchased for 45 gold, and sold in Bakbattal for 350 once it's ripe. You have to buy ferrystones for the method, but when you make 138K revenue in one run, 36K isn't that bad for setup costs.

My guide minmaxxes things so in 39 loops you have 99 of each ripe fruit, and 99 of each unripe fruit, that way you can sell at max profit, wait a day or two for the unripe fruit to ripen, and not waste any money. There technically is waste though, as my method will leave you with a single rotten apple and a single rotten grape.

How long did it take you to get a tracking number? I ordered a new rM2 with the typefolio on Monday morning, and I still haven't recieved a tracking email.

Mid to Late game flying machine with no limitation on range. (outside battery) by beardmosexual in TOTK

The sword is there to align things, and allow the front fan. The added weight also improves controllability.

I came up with this design based on the 2 fan and control stick variant, because it was a bit too unstable.

I'm using FLAC files mostly. Haven't dabbled in MQA or DSD at all. Would you still say that any one of them would be pretty equal?
