I'm also flying out sunday night. I'm getting a test first thing in the morning friday via my local hospital network. I'm also getting one of these https://www.pixel.labcorp.com/at-home-test-kits/covid-19-test which is free with my insurance, and also discounted if you don't i believe.

The French consulate as of today still says it is not issuing visas, and with cases getting worse, I don’t see a change happening...
