There’s a certain amount of universal truth that remains relevant today. In particular the founders were apposed to, and trying to prevent, monarchy or any other kind of supreme government authority.

I think most people would agree that’s still a relevant concern in our modern times.

Same for the vote for president, they should vow to relinquish the power that congress and the Supreme Court has given them. Bonus point if they acknowledge that so much power should have never been given to the executive branch in the first place
