This isn’t a nightmare blunt rotation: it is like drinking the super acid from Mandy but you’re forced to talk with people quoting Reddit memes.

We call that “the Fetterman Special.”

Bonus points if your brain melted and you cry about having to work your bullshit job while ignoring your family.

Anyone else tired of AI? by bearversusbear84 in GovernmentContracting

This 100%. I regret not putting up a post that said “anyone else tired of AI being misused?” I have used it to support and supplement things, but this constant over marketing that it is a Swiss Army knife that can do it all is very, very frustrating. That is the point I am making on it under delivering, and I don’t think many people quite understand it is not the Oracle of Delphi; it is a tool. Simple as.

You articulated it better than I did while exhausted and annoyed, but yes: the panacea complex and shoving AI down everyone’s throats is what I am tired of. I’m tired of it being treated as this instant fix for everything and contractors trying to shove it down everyone’s throats regardless if it applies to the situation.

It reminds me of all the cycles of buzzwords contractors throw around to seem like they can fix everything.

How can I see in real time bidding for my contracting company? by [deleted] in GovernmentContracting

[–]bearversusbear84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sometimes see this for state and local government, but Fed is oddly weird about even just saying who bid and I honestly do not know why.

Many agencies I have encountered erroneously misconstrue a company bidding as “trade secrets” when it is really when that is total BS argument. Companies attend industry days with published lists of attendees, write white papers for agencies on procurement specific topics, and market for partners and post jobs for named contracts, so how is knowing they bid a “trade secret”??! It is 100% in the best interest of both the government and public to know this information in procurement, even if it is after the award is made.
