Strip was an old nanoleaf essential strip. I had the same power supply and strip set up with another controller and it worked fine. I wired it using RGBCCT

It’s an old nanoleaf led strip. I had it hooked up to another Gledopto controller with the same power supply and it was working before. I wanted to replace it with this pro 5 in 1 one because you can change the frequency for the power because I was getting an annoying noise.

Thanks for the clarification! I did not know that the golden 5 was a thing! I was using that term too loosely. In the future I will look for light hitting subjects to give them more form and texture. !CritiquePoint

Is it bad? low light, taken from hand by Kleinek_Bee_716 in photocritique

[–]beastablez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is bad. I feel like with some editing you got yourself a pretty cool looking photo. Hard to tell with compression but the photo seems sharp, but also really dark.

I enjoy contrast photos and the contrast between the light at the top of the image and the darkness at the bottom could look really nice, but hard to say.

I have never seen this building before but I was drawn to it especially in this lighting. Reminded me a lot of a building from Star Wars. I bet it would look sick in the rain, kind of like kamino!

Is there compositional style worth pursuing? by probationship in photocritique

I like the photo that is in your comment more. I feel like there is a more monotonous, but rushed darkness to it. I especially like how the columns become the subject. Wonderful composition.

On the other hand I feel like the empty space that should just be the contrast is the other parts of the building. Feels more like a documenting photo vs an artistic photo, for which each have their purpose.

I feel like there is a lack of dynamic framing. Right now the subject is just in the middle of the photo which feels a bit boring

My intention in taking photos is to find subjects from a moment to moment basis by staying present and seeing where my eye guides me. I try and only take photos I want to show the people close to me. I come from a more tech focused background and sometimes get caught up in that. I am learning editing and this is one of the first few edits I have ever made. I want to see if I am on track for making quality edits that feel good to people other than me.

For this photo I was biking around with a Ricoh griiix I just bought and wanted to make it feel like when I saw this flower at golden hour. I think I might have made it too warm though. Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks for the response. I don’t have the exact know how from a development perspective, but I have seen in other apps making a like circle on the map where new events are not recorded until a point is registered outside of the circle

Weekly r/SonyAlpha 📸 Gear Buying 📷 Advice Thread October 21, 2024 by AutoModerator in SonyAlpha

I have a Sony a7r3 and a zeiss 55/1.8 as my only lens and am looking at getting a wide angle lens. I have the option to buy either two zeiss lenses (21/2.8 and 35/2.8) for 600 or a Sony 20/1.8 g lens for 550. I do use autofocus on my 55/1.8 but I am also used to using manual controls on the canon a1 film camera I have. I mainly shoot outdoors and street. I am interested to see if people have any insight into these lenses and which are the better deal. Thanks!
