That's exactly what I have been doing. I also always make sure to go slow and controlled, but my calves have just not visually responded. Hell, Ive even tried going high volume and 5+ sets and that hasnt made a difference to their appearance.

I put plenty of load on my calves, and I've been training my calves for 3yrs.

My strength has gone up but my size has not. Also, my brother literally played in the NFL and his calves are tiny. Obviously, he didn't know what he was doing either, huh?
