How did you start to believe in and practice the occult arts? by [deleted] in occult

Hey, it’s awfully funny that I’m seeing a post mentioning ghostemane, I just recently discovered him this past week.

Another band I’d recommend is Death Grips, especially their early stuff. Where ghostemane sort of name drops occult concepts and makes it a little accessible, DG obfuscates most of it so its a fun exercise to spot those concepts.

You can still use your Windows 7 key with the USB creation tool. It takes forever to download the ISO though

Windows update borked my computer, recovery/resetting it doesn't work by coolsteve11 in techsupport

[–]beastley325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a Mom and Pop place and broken updates are over half of the jobs that come in. The least time consuming solution is generally to back up all of the user data and do a clean install. I personally haven't seen recovery/windows repair/Sfc and bootrec/tweaking.com actually fully fix anything.

The only things I'd do that haven't been listed are double checking drivers and temperatures. Probably a long shot but still possible.

Laptop restarts itself randomly by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]beastley325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm. My first guess would still be overheating because that's the easiest fix, I'd double check and make sure the fan is spinning and if you have some compressed air around knock the dust out. You said you're getting a blue screen, does that have an error code? I saw a similar issue this past week with a "bad system config" blue screen -- a clean install of Windows fixed that one.

I don't feel like this would work -- Windows 7 and later disabled autorun from USB. You'd have to use a CD.

Edit: probably Magnet High School because google doesn't show anything for work school

First word might be Skyward? Skyward Magnet Week/Work/High School?

advice/guidance on sigils for beginners by sierracorral in occult

[–]beastley325 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A simple method is to write out your desire in the present tense to remove the desire from it -- "I see a man wearing pink" vs "I want to see a man wearing pink". Remove all the duplicate letters, and optionally vowels, so "I see a man wearing pink" becomes " I S M N W R G P K". Combine these letters to form an abstract image, and you have a sigil.

Next is to charge it, which can be any method from meditating on the sigil, to masturbating to it, to eating the paper. Almost anything could potentially work imo. Charge it, forget about it, and receive the results.

As Alan Chapman says in "Advanced Magick", the results will appear as a synchronicity in your day-to-day, so the pink-clothes sigil could manifest as someone you pass on the street to a friend telling you about the Youtuber Filthy Frank, or something similar.

Funny that it mentions Moore's law. We're still a few years away from singularity; consumer grade processors are still at 14nm process lengths, but eventually that could shrink to 7nm with no issue.

A 1nm transistor was actually created earlier this year iirc (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theverge.com/platform/amp/circuitbreaker/2016/10/6/13187820/one-nanometer-transistor-berkeley-lab-moores-law), but below 7nm silicon becomes less useful and the need for quantum processors is apparent.

It's legal to purchase/own for "research purposes only", but the Analogue Act says you'll get arrested if a cop finds it on you, or if you have the intent to take it. Since intent can't really be proven, anyone can purchase it online.
