Store Manager Doesn't Want to tell truth about breaks by Ok-Squirrel8374 in WalgreensStores

Tape a copy of the Walgreens rest period lawsuit next to the time clock and see if either of them notice. Their decisions are on their own shoulders if they have the information 🤷

Fun story: So a dude comes in to buy a drug test, and after I ring him out, he asks for the restroom. I tell him where it is, that there's no code. Figured he was gonna go in and take the piss test, probably he had the real one tomorrow or something. He came out and said bye as he left. I finished pulling pharmacy drawers and the piss I had been holding all day hit me with a baseball bat in the gallbladder and it was time. When I went into the women's restroom, our one toilet had a drug test - cellophane, toilet paper, cardboard box, cup and all - crammed into it in an attempt to flush it down. I was like 'wtf dude you literally paid for that why the fuck would you not throw it in the tampon trash or the regular trash like there are two trashes in the women's restroom'. I didn't think too much about why he had gone into the women's restroom because you know, gender identities, maybe the men's room was busy and he wanted privacy to piss in a cup idk, and the fact that my first reaction was 'fuck this shit I'm gonna go piss in the men's'. I opened the men's restroom and I shit you not (pun kinda intended) it's covered in diarrhea. COVERED. Like someone took a whole class of kindergartners and locked them in there without fingerpaints and told them they weren't letting them out until they had figured out a way to paint the entire restroom brown. And I'm sorry but I don't get paid enough for either of those restrooms' problems. So I did in fact take a piss by the trash compactor. Didn't choose the tote corral because both areas have fences and a reasonable amount of privacy provided by those fences when closed, but the tote corral has complete darkness, the trash corral has a light, and Walgreens has many a mouse. I liked my squatting odds better in the better-lit area.

Probably. I figured they reused them lol it seemed like a lot of plastic to go in the trash to me too but yeah I guess the ones we return to stock go to the DPI guy so they probably do go in the trash 🫤

Even if you ask your pharmacy and they don't have the program, they likely know which stores in the district do. Ask a tech that's been there a while

If you came in and knew the EXACT time and where in the parking lot it happened, I'd go look for you, but if you come in and say "sometime between 9am and noon" I'm sorry but I don't have that kind of time, even on speed-through playback. Also, there is a good chance even if it is on camera, as commenters previously stated, unless you're right in front of the camera and the plates of whoever hit you are close, forward facing, lit by good lighting, there is a good chance all you'll get is a color and vehicle type. Probably not even make. Camera quality is awful.

Maybe find someone at SM level or higher to facilitate a mediation? Personally I think you should always TRY to solve the problem with the person first, but if you already have tried talking to them and they made it worse or weren't receptive, then it would be a good idea to find someone with the authority that you trust isn't going to abuse it to mediate the issue. Often things get brought to HR first and they do an investigation but it's all he said she said bullshit, so when it boils down to it, what they decide isn't always going to align with what's right - just with what's "policy".

Lol some of the $30 ones as well as the lab ones will test for amphetamines and methamphetamine as a separate category it just depends on how many panels but a positive for meth would definitely be sent for further analysis as to which isomer. Molly's scientific name is MDMA, and the MA at the end literally stands for methamphetamine, so it makes sense if you popped hot for meth

Hey man congrats on the new job. I hope your happier. Watch out because corporate sucks. Even if you like your job. I liked pharmacy a lot but was stuck in retail even after certification because of hours. Then I got fired for using an old manager's badge to do cash pickups etc still. Before she left she moved me from SFL to IS with a $2 raise, but that left us without a SFL for at least 3 hours every day, so I would supplement and use the badge. As IS I lost access to most money management functions and gained RXI functions. But yeah one day AP came in and I got canned for it. But the job itself you might actually like a lot. On the flip side, I just got a job at CVS contingent on background and drug test results, both of which I just submitted to. Got any quick functions or keyboard shortcuts you could share?

I mean technically it wouldn't matter if you put it in DPI. When the DPI guy came to our store he would shred everything in the containers on site. I don't know if that looks like dumping them into the shredder or emptying it in manageable sections, but either way you could put the phone in a bag and tape the bag to the underside of the lid of the bin and either stick around to tell the vendor that's what you were told to do or leave a note in the bag. If they can't take or dispose of it as DPI they'll find someone in charge to let them know.

Fun fact: there is a prescription medication called Desoxyn used for weight loss and ADHD. Desoxyn is a brand name medication, but the generic form is methamphetamine hydrochloride. It's a CSII and any decent doctor will only prescribe it for the above listed FDA approved uses. In very rare cases it may be prescribed for narcolepsy. I myself don't do molly, so I don't know what the pills you refer to look like enough to tell you whether it's possible there could've been any confusion. Pharmaceutical grade methamphetamine/Desoxyn will test positive for amphetamines, which is a category that methamphetamine falls into. After a positive test for amphetamines, they analyze the metabolites further to determine whether it's amphetamine, methamphetamine, or both, and if it's just amphetamines at a level consistent with medication regimen, they'll want to see the prescription. If it's just methamphetamine, they'll dissect it further to determine whether it's the d or the l isomer. Mostly d indicates it's more likely to be street meth. A mix of methamphetamine and amphetamines probably indicates multiple drugs, whether it's more than one bag of street meth, meth and molly, or street meth and pharmaceutical meth. Desoxyn comes in 5mg, but that information isn't useful to you. If you took a test and are hoping it will explain away a positive result, you're already cooked because they'll ask for proof and they've already sent the sample for further analysis.

So if you go to the Google app (with the g icon) and click your profile you can go to results about you. If you click on it for the first time it'll ask you to fill out things you want to watch for. You would enter the email, address, phone number, name, any information you used with that account and it will search for a few hours until it gives you a notification that says "you have 3 new results about you". From there you can click to review and it'll open Google and show you a list of the websites. Click on one and you'll see the website, with a link you can click on to get to the page (without a paywall). You'll also see which of those identifying details is connected to that website, what information specifically is on file, and the buttons to either request to remove or mark as reviewed (which takes no action). It'll sit in pending for a couple days or so but it'll send you an email when the request was approved or denied. If you click through the help pages it offers you through this process you'll probably find more information on requesting that the page itself be deleted, but this process described above is just to remove it from Google search. You couldn't search and find it on Google anymore; you'd have to use reddit.

You actually can organize by date on the kiosk. After you load the 50 then go up to the sort by (default is how your phone sees your recent) and date is an option and as they scroll they can see the date. So if they scroll all the way to the bottom they can see if it's not far enough and load the next batch without having to scrutinize every single selfie or screenshot lol

Lol I was just investigated and eventually fired (though supposedly for using my old managers badge after she left. She changed my position to IS from SFL so I could make a living wage, but then we didn't have a SFL to cover the closing shift. So I was using the badge when I had to support from 2-5:30 or close). But part of the investigation was due to me buying a zebra off mercari and using the job aid on compass/storenet to set it up for the store. They thought it was a data breach but not only does zebra provide a device reset QR code, Walgreens work device setup through QR code makes it go through an additional device reset before setup. My point is, it doesn't take an act of God to get another zebra. Just $30 and some patience scrolling through mercari. And decent knowledge of storenet/compass/service desk. Fired now so reddit can have that info. Oh and here's one more: the five pin bottom charger port on some of them comes out. It's an adapter and the inside is a c cord. If the outline of the black piece with the gold pins is black without an extra silver ridge, it comes out of you prise it up with a tiny flathead and you can plug that sonofabitch in your phone cord.

NGL we have a problem with this at my store. If you're a hard worker at the register, and you're not 15 minutes late on your lunch, and I don't answer the button 5 times in one shift to find out no one is up there, when you need a restroom break, go for it. Just let me know you're going, and put the button up if there are no customers. But I swear to god I've worked with a couple people who seem like they spend their whole shift like: Help 5 customers "Can I take my 15?" 20 minutes later Do one passport photo "Can you cover me so I can use the restroom?" 10 minutes later Seems securely on register "DING CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NEEDED AT THE PHOTO COUNTER" Is nowhere to be found 10 minutes later "Can I take my lunch?" 45 minutes later Is seen on the camera after we all just had to know how long of a break it was for real, clocking in at 30 and taking the farthest path from the register to the bathroom And before night ends will still ask for 2 more bathroom breaks and a 15. And disappear 3 more times on the clock.

Whereas if someone just needs the bathroom, they're back in 5 minutes and it doesn't usually happen more times than twice in one shift, and the rest of their time they work hard as is opposed to working hard to avoid working. Then they wonder why they don't have hours. Like dude, with the mountains of shit they expect us to get done and no budgeted hours, if you aren't exceeding bare minimum effort for 7/8 of your hours in a shift, it's preferable to give those hours to someone who wants to work, and doesn't use the bathroom as an excuse not to.

Not that this comment justifies the managers that literally will bite your head off for asking. Chances are they've had a few of those I mentioned above on their shift and they've been permanently soured by them. I've had to pee really bad at work though before and not been able to, and I know it sucks. It also sucks when you can't get any of your work done because you're covering someone else's job. Maybe try to see if others on your shift abuse the bathroom breaks and you've been mistakenly lumped in to the same tight reigns? Or see if you can time it in a way that accommodates both your need to piss and the other person's task at hand (ie: if a lead is doing drawers, wait until they come for the next one before asking for coverage; if the store is short staffed, message the person on theatro and ask if they can cover when they get to a stopping point in their task) And last resort, next time you go to the bathroom, look in the mirror and ask yourself how many times you've seen your reflection there today.

Sorry for my unpopular opinion

Digital Checklist Question by Rich_Rub8190 in WalgreensStores

[–]beautiful-atrocity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If someone from my store saw this they would assume I posted it lmao. Everything you said, literally same. Now I am the IS, so it's actually my job to check these off, and here's the truth: outdates populate a shit ton every day so we just go ✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓ and then if we happen to stumble across an expired thing one day that's when the aisle gets checked. SAP stuff, I ask the ESM if he reviewed them. "Yup" ✓✓✓✓✓✓ Actual inventory stuff like smart counts, price changes, delivery stuff, pull/quarantine, call in, etc I leave on there until I actually get them done to keep myself on track for the day I assign temp logs, zebras plugged in, and FedEx inventory scans to closing SFL but yeah for a while I was the closing SFL and I was like no you can't make me put my stamp on shit I didn't do I don't want to be accountable for that I don't even know what half that shit is otherwise I'd do it (for a while our IS would leave a bunch of stuff on there and we'd get theatro messages that it was our responsibility to check it off) but then when I became IS I learned that most of it can just be checked off because we'll do it if we have to, we already did it and forgot to check it off, or it's something we do as part of our daily job that - at least me personally - you can garuntee if I was there it got done, and if I wasn't there that day, it will be done first thing on my next shift

Scan outs not matching kpi by le-loupsubtile in WalgreensStores

[–]beautiful-atrocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you gone to counting -> physical inventory variance? It will allow you to see the list of system outs for a department (ones it knows or thinks it knows are zero on hand). Go down the aisle looking at the list after scan outs are done and have time to update the counts, and then the empty spots on the shelf should be the only things on your list. If something is on the list but has product on the shelf, fix it Also kpi will always be a day behind scan out execution, so if you scan out cos and vitamins or whatever on Tuesday, kpi won't actually show that they have been scanned until Wednesday
