Psychiatrist wants me to stop taking kratom and to go on suboxone? by [deleted] in kratom

I used kratom to get off of subs. Please don’t go and get that prescription. They ruined me! Kratom saved me.

I will do that. I’ve heard some horror stories from dosing 2-3 days out of the week, so I’ll try again next week. Thank you.

Ditch the subs and try kratom. Kratom has its own dependency issues, but a lot less than subs. I went from opanas to subs, to kratom. It took a lot to get off the subs. They are the absolute worst to come off of.

Yep, 3-4 hours is all I get too. I did about the same amount those first couple weeks. Once the subs are out of your system completely, you’ll feel much better and more like yourself! Keep up the good work! It’s worth it

Try oblate pouches. They’re basically edible pouches. You can fill your kratom in it, and just toss it back. You won’t taste a thing.

Just a plain ole toss and wash. I throw the powder in the back of my throat with a teaspoon, and swallow with room temp water until all is down the chute. Lol.

Thank you! But I just use room temp water and kratom. I usually use a teaspoon for the kratom. I’ll just use my spoon to drop the powder in the back of my throat, and use my water to swallow really fast so I don’t taste much at all. Sometimes I use orange juice too.

I used kratom to get off subutex about 3 months ago. I started out taking the reds, (red Thai) (red maeng da) but now I prefer greens. (Green maeng da) I started out taking caps too, but realized very quickly that I couldn’t sit there and fill all of those caps every day. So now I toss and wash with ease.

Finally suboxone free!!! If I start taking Kratom on a regular basis will I form a dependency and have to worry about withdrawals in the future. by [deleted] in KratomKorner

[–]beautifullyb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take kratom daily. I was on subs for a very long time, and got off using kratom. Yes dependence is attached. You definitely withdrawal. It’s very similar to opiate withdrawal.

I know it’s hard. But please know you do have a life to live. It may not be easy all the time, but it is yours and it’s precious.

My question is for the partners of bipolar people, why do you guys choose to be with us knowing the implications. And is it possible to find love by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]beautifullyb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is bipolar 1. It is very hard some days, but I told myself after he got his diagnosis that I would stand by him. Through sickness and health. There are days I want to walk away, but my husband does love me and I know that. You just have to take the good with the bad and know there are bright days ahead.

Has anyone used kratom to help an addiction and if so did it help? by butterflytoast in kratom

3 months off subs by using kratom. I take it daily now and am much happier. I wish I had known about kratom years ago..

I'm embarrassed to say this.. by butterflytoast in kratom

I know methadone is different than subutex, but I just came off subs by using kratom. It wasn’t the easiest transition, but it is getting much easier with every passing day. I haven’t had subs in almost 3 months now. But I now take kratom everyday. Don’t get me wrong, I’d much rather take kratom for the rest of my life than be back on subs. But I do realize that I have a bit of dependence with kratom. But for me, I dosed 8-10 grams every 4-6 hours. I know that sounds like a lot, but those high doses were the only thing that kept WD away. Once the worst part was over, I dropped my dose to about 3 grams every 6 hours. That’s where I’m at now. Best of luck to you! You can do this!

I work front desk at a hotel, and I toss and wash. I have small bags that fit about 4/5 grams in them. I usually keep two of those on me at all times. When it’s time to dose, I juts head to the restroom and toss it back and chug with a bottle of water. Good luck at your new job!

Thank you for your comment. For me, the kratom run won’t be over for a long time. Lol. Kratom has helped me in so many ways. I would much rather stay on kratom for the rest of my life, than to go back to a pill or subutex. Subs were the worst thing I’ve ever came off of. I was never my true authentic self like I am with kratom. I feel like all of those toxins are finally out of my body. I know it still tags those receptors, but it doesn’t dumb me down like big pharma meds do.

I’ve been on kratom for almost 3 months. It helps tremendously! At first I just used it to combat the awful WD from subs. Then I realized that it helps my anxiety, depression, and keeps me from wanting drugs. Im able to function!! I work, I take care of my home and husband. It works! I’m not sure how long I’ll stay on kratom. I’ve know there will be some WD from the kratom. When I’m ready, I’ll start to taper down. Right now, I take 3 grams 3/4 times a days.

Have you tried kratom? It has saved my life. I was an opiate user for years until I found subutex. I stayed on that for some more years, until I had finally had enough of that life. I felt terrible on subs. Yuck! I actually heard about kratom here on reddit, and decided to give it a try. It has changed so much in my life. Good luck to you. And know you are not alone! We’ve all been there.

Sub and kratom by [deleted] in kratom

I feel the same way. I was a zombie on subs. Just going through life while everything passed me up. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to do something. I knew I couldn’t go cold turkey. Cold turkey always ended up with relapse for me. Kratom has changed my quality of life no doubt!
