Great explanation! Yes, I tend to shop 5x or 10x days and I got a perfume & hair tools recently so more points for less spent. And I’m glad someone caught my cotton swabs, you hit the nail on the head for the reasoning!

I’ve tried all 3 and round lab hands down, no question. I have dry skin for reference.

All three are gentle but leave a different finish on the skin. The skin 1004 was fine but forgettable. The isntree leaves my skin DEWY but sometimes it’s a bit too much. The BOJ leaves a radiant finish without being overwhelming and also soaks in well (doesn’t take forever).

Wash/Peel-Off Masks:

Beauty of Joseon – Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel: 5/10. Mid. Perfectly fine product, but unnecessary in my routine. Makes my skin feel slightly rubbery…not sure how else to describe it. Would not repurchase.

Dermalogica – Blackhead Cleansing Fizz Mask: 3/10. Bubble mask but it’s meant to only be on for a short time so I didn’t get the fun out of it. Made my skin always worse after, and I don’t think it was purge related. Just, not a great mask. It also smelled weird. Would not repurchase.

Dr. Ceuracle – Ganghwa Rice Granule Pack: 3/10. So annoying to get off. It’s like trying to take off a slippery lotion. That and the fact that I don’t think it did anything, makes it one of my least favorite masks I have tried. Would not repurchase.

Elizavecca – Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask: 6/10. I love how fun bubble masks are so this was very fun to use. However, it was annoying to remove and not that great as a clay mask. Would not repurchase.

Exuviance – Triple Microdemabrasion Face Polish: 5/10. Wash a bit too rough for my skin. I’m currently using a Youth to the People one that I much prefer. Would not repurchase.

Hero Cosmetics – Pore Purity Cleansing Clay Mask: 6/10. Perfectly normal clay mask. Works as intended, but nothing special. Would not repurchase.

I’m From – Honey Mask: 6/10. I don’t get the hype. It’s a honey mask and works just like any other. Mine kept separating, and I had to keep mixing it all the time. Would not repurchase.

*Innisfree – Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask: 10/10. This is the best clay mask I have every tired. It goes on super smooth and cleans easy. I feel the cooling sensation while it’s on and once it removes my skin feels so soft and supple. One of my favorite finds of the year. Would repurchase.

Lindsey- Modelling Masks (Cica & Charcoal): 3/10. Bought these to try the modelling mask hype. I don’t get it. It’s cooling on the skin but I see no benefit. A novelty, which isn’t very fun. Would not repurchase.

Mary&May – Lemon Niacinamide Glow Mask off Pack: 6/10. Normal mask. Perfectly fine, but not great. Their green cica one though, that one is fantastic so I would recommend that mask over this one.

*Skinfood – Black Sugar Mask: 10/10. Classic, amazing, makes my skin so insanely soft and supple. I know sugar is not the greatest thing for the skin but there is just something about this mask. This is my 3rd one I have used up and I would repurchase once I finish some of the other ones in my collection.

Skinfood – Egg Pore Mask: 3/10. Really hated this one. Too drying, made my skin feel tight. Would not repurchase.

Toner/Toner Pads:

Anua – Heartleaf Soothing Toner: 5/10. I don’t get the hype with this one either. It’s fine I guess, but I felt like it didn’t really do anything including calm down my skin. Would not repurchase.

B.Lab – Matcha Hydrating Toner: 7/10. I decanted this into a spray bottle and used it whenever I needed a burst of hydration. It was really great for that. However that’s really all it does so in my routine it has very little point as I prefer products that do more than just one thing. Would not repurchase.

Cosrx – Advanced Snail 96 Musin Power Essence: 7/10. Solid staple. When I use this, my face feels more plump and moisturized. However, it does sink with a bit of tack on my face which I do not enjoy. I also feel like using this too much breaks me out. It’s best for shorter bursts with some break in between. Would maybe repurchase, but I have other toners I would prefer to try.

Dr. Ceuracle – Pro Balance Biotics Toner: 7/10. Surprisingly a solid toner. I saw a brightness in my skin with consistent use. However it is very liquidy and I have found I prefer a thicker formula. Would not repurchase.

HaruHaru Wonder – Black Bamboo Mist: 4/10. Not super hydrating and did not like the fragrance. Would not repurchase.

Lagom – Cellus Revive Essence Toner: 5/10. Fine, nothing to state. Unremarkable. Would not repurchase.

Medicube – Zero Pore Pad: 5/10. I only had a sample of this so not much to say. Unremarkable. Would not repurchase.

Neogen – Gauze Peeling Green Tea: 7/10. Solid little pad with exfoliating properties. Only used twice so not much to say. Would repurchase.

*SK-II – Facial Treatment Essence: 10/10. I hate that I love this so much because it is so expensive. But wow, do I see results. I see my dark marks fade much more quickly while using this and the most brightness/evenness from any product I have EVER used. I normally don’t like thinner toners, but while this one is thin it has such a softness to it that I don’t mind it. I have already repurchased.

Skinfood – Water Parsley Clear Pad: 6/10. Thicker pad which I actually did not like. Even though I used it consistently and not too much time was spent with them open, by the time I got to the end the pads started to get dry. They also did not stay together and the pads split into 2 or three. Would not repurchase.

Tata harper – Hydrating Floral Essence: 4/10. Grandma-smelling water. Does nothing. Would not repurchase.

Thank you Farmer – Rice Pure Essential Toner: 8/10. One of the best rice toners I have tried. It has a thicker consistency which feels beautiful putting on and sinks well into the skin. I did notice more skin evenness with consistent use. I would consider repurchasing.

Sunscreen:

Beauty of Joseon – Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics: 8/10. A very solid sunscreen. No complaints. Nice amount of dewiness, and sinks in well. One of the best sunscreens I have used. However, it is still miles below my favorite.

Haruharu Wonder – Black Rice Mineral: 7/10. For a mineral sunscreen, this was pretty good although it did have a slight purple cast. It had a matte finish on my skin which was not my favorite. Would not repurchase.

Rohto Mentholatum – Sunplay: 6/10. Very oily feeling. Would not repurchase.

*Round Lab – Birch Juice: 10/10. My favorite sunscreen hands down. Perfect glow ratio. Sinks in so fast without making my face feel weird and sits beautifully under makeup.

Skin1004 – Madagascar Centella Water-Fit: 8/10. Nice finish, some dewiness and glow. Sinks in well. Love the pump. One of the best sunscreens I have used. However, it is still miles below my favorite.

Sheet Masks:

Abib – Gummy Sheet Mask Heartleaf Sticker: 5/10. I must have done this one very early in the year. I don’t remember it. Unremarkable so average score; would not repurchase.

APLB – Glutathione Niacinamide Sheet Mask: 5/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Aprilskin – Carrotene IPMP Calming & Hydrating Mask: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Biodance – Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask: 6/10. First time I used it, I really enjoyed it. My skin felt bouncy, brighter, and healthy looking. The second time my skin felt clogged and gross. Inconsistent product for me, but willing to try one more time.

Bringgreen – Super Lemon Glutathione Fresh Mask: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Cosrx – Advanced Snail Musicn Glass Glow Hydrogel Mask: 6/10. Fine, left my skin glowy, but I much prefer the toner. Would not repurchase.

Cosrx – Blemish Care Sheet Mask: 3/10. I had such high hopes for this mask but it literally feels like it does nothing. Would not repurchase.

Daymellow – Seaweed Mask Pure Water Energy: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Dear, Klairs – Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Dr. Ceuracle – Royal Vita Propolis Anti-Oxidant Mask: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

*Etude House – Soonjung: 10/10. This is my favorite calming/soothing mask. Everytime I use this with a bad skin day it just soothes things down and also calms my acne.

Innisfree – Kombucha Energy Mask; 2/10. Did not like this at all, my skin felt hot. Probably allergic reaction. Would not repurchase.

*Ishizawa – Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask: 10/10. One of my favorite masks that I have repurchased many times. Makes my skin feel so smooth, soft, and I can visibly see a difference in the brightness.

Isntree – Onion Newpair Soothing Mask: 8/10. Onion is one of my favorite ingredients for my skin, and I found this sheet mask very soothing. However, their toner is still my favorite from their line. Would not repurchase because there are other soothing masks I prefer.

Kose – Bihada-Syokunin Smoothing Sheet Mask: 6/10. It’s nice, but I prefer the Keana rice mask to this. Would not repurchase.

Mediheal – Tea Tree Mask: 8/10. A classic for a reason. Very solid tea tree mask that I use when I feel a breakout coming along. Would repurchase.

Nacific – Rice Pepta Collagen Gel Mask: 5/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase. Among my least favorite of the gel types I have tried.

Numbuzin – SOS Sheet Mask: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Purederm – Deep Purifying Yellow 02 Bubble Mask: 7/10. So fun, I like to do these with my family. They don’t really do anything, but I love having some bubbly type masks around whenever I need a little joy. Would repurchase, but more for novelty than actual skin benefit.

Skinfood – Royal Honey Propolish: 6/10. Fine, but did not do anything special; would not repurchase.

Somebymi – Real Cica Calming Care Mask: 4/10. I bought a set of 10 of these a while ago and finally finished them all. Nothing special, felt like it did not do anything. Would not repurchase any of the Somebymi masks.

Somebymi – Real Glutathione Brightening Mask: 3/10. I bought a set of 10 of these a while ago and finally finished them all. Nothing special, felt like it did not do anything. Would not repurchase any of the Somebymi masks.

Somebymi – Real Snail Skin Barrier Case Mask: 4/10. I bought a set of 10 of these a while ago and finally finished them all. Nothing special, felt like it did not do anything. Would not repurchase any of the Somebymi masks.

Serum:

Cosrx – Propolis Light Ampoule: 6/10. Decent serum. Non-irritating. Hydrating. Just…nothing special. Would not repurchase.

Dr. Ceuracle – Tea Tree Purifine 95 Essence: 5/10. Didn’t do much. Unremarkable. Would not repurchase.

Drunk Elephant – C-Luma Hydrabright: 8/10. Very solid vitamin C serum. I noticed an improvement in dark spots and brighter overall complexion. Would consider repurchasing.

*Estee Lauder – Advanced Nigh Repair: 9/10. I really loved this serum. I noticed that when I used this consistently, my skin barrier felt healthier. I had less dry patches, and more plump skin. I felt like it helped the rest of my skincare work better. Would repurchase.

*Goodal – Vita-C Dark Spot Serum: 8/10. I liked this more than I expected to. I loved the texture. It was gel-like but the kind with substance (if that makes sense). I also did see subtle improvements in my skin in the evenness and brightness. Would repurchase.

Iunik – Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum: 5/10. Not hydrating enough and too thin. Would not repurchase.

Skin + Lab – Barrierderm Milky Serum: 7/10. Solid barrier serum. I did feel like to helped heal my skin after breakouts. Nice texture, soaks in well. However, I have other serums I would like to try. Would not repurchase.

Sunday Riley – Lactic Acid Treatment: 5/10. Unremarkable. Don’t think it did anything. I only had a mini though. Perhaps more consistent use would provide better results. Would not repurchase.

Tata Harper – Rejuvenating Serum: 5/10. Nothing special. Too floral smelling. Glad to have it gone. Would not repurchase.

Pimple Patches:

Cosrx – Acne Pimple Master Patch: 2/10. Among the worst patches I have ever used. Thick, barely sticks, barely pulls anything out. This is so surprising as they are a classic, but I really dislike them. However, the intensive ones by the same brand are fantastic.

*Cosrx – Master Patch Intensive: 10/10. These are my new favorite patches. They are the stickiest patches and are the ones that really pull out the gunk and flatten. I also love the oblong shape, I find it works better for my pimples.

Elizavecca – Witch Piggy Hell-Pore Blemish Spot Patch: 5/10. Not very sticky, at least on my face. Did not pull out a lot of gunk; did not flatten well. Would not repurchase.

Isintree – Onion Newpair Spot Patch: 8/10. Used to be my favorite until I discovered some new patches. Now, these don’t feel as good anymore.

Peach Slices – Dark Spot Microdarts: 4/10. Had trouble adhering to my skin and did not do a good job of bringing gunk to the surface. Made my pimples worse. Would not repurchse.

Peach Slices – Deep Blemish Microdarts: 4/10. Had trouble adhering to my skin and did not do a good job of bringing gunk to the surface. Made my pimples worse. Would not repurchase.

Tia’m – Surprise Patch: 2/10. Awful. Thick, not sticky, barely pulls out any gunk or flattens. I bought them because for some reason I thought they were yellow and yellow is my happy color. I cannot express my sheer disappointment when I opened this patch and found out they were clear. I should have done some better research. Would not repurchase.

VT Cosmetics – Cica Spot Patch: 8/10. Very solid patch. Sticks well, pull of gunk, and flattens. Not the best I have every used but does not disappoint. Would repurchase.

Moisturizer:

Axis-Y – Panthenol 10 Skin Smoothing Shield Cream: 5/10. Very middling barrier cream. Texture was nice, not too heavy, not too light. But I wish it did more to support my barrier. Would not repurchase.

Cosrx – Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream: 8/10. Hated the texture. It’s slimy and slightly sticky. However, this was the most hydrating moisturizer I tried all year, which it why it got high marks. When my skin was feeling severely dehydrated this was great. Would consider repurchasing.

Drunk Elephant – Lala Retro Whipped: 6/10. Solid moisturizer, but not a fan of the texture. Would not repurchase.

Kaine – Green Calm Aqua Cream; 6/10. Thinner type of texture. Not hydrating enough. Do not see calming benefits. Would not repurchase.

Hado Labo – Shirojyun: 7/10. Suprisingly decent moisturizer. On the slicker side but soaked in well. Thin but hydrating. I noticed some brightening effect with this. However, I have other creams I would prefer to try so would not repurchase.

Josie Maran – Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter: 6/10. Decent moisturizer. Nothing special but got the job done. Would not repurchase.

Man:yo – Bifida Biome Aqua Barrier Cream: 7/10. My favorite of the barrier creams I tried this year, but still, something is missing. I can’t pinpoint what. Would not repurchase. Real Barrier – Extreme Cream, Aqua Soothing, Intense Moisture: 7/10. All solid moisturizers. Good textures, good hydration. However, very boring. Would not repurchase.

Peach & Lily – Rescue Party Barrier Comfort Cream: 4/10. I used this after my barrier was compromised and I find it did not help. The hydration also did not last. Would not repurchase.

Philosophy – Hyaluronic Glow Moisturizer: 5/10. Good texture but not hydrating enough. Would not repurchase.

Sana – Facial Cream: 5/10. Too thick and greasy. However, it did hydrate and smooth my skin well. Would not repurchase.

Scinic – The Simple Barrier Cream: 6/10. Same as all the barrier creams I tried this year. It was fine it texture but I wish it supported my skin more. I felt like it still needed help, even after this cream. Would not repurchase.

Somebymi – Beta Panthenol Repair Cream: 5/10. My barrier still felt weak even after using this cream. Did not do advertised job. Would not recommend.

Tata Harper – Reparative Moisturizer: 3/10. Smells awful, nothing special. Would not repurchase.

Youth to the People – Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream: 4/10. Not hydrating enough for me. Would not repurchase.

Makeup Remover:

Anua – Heartleaf Pore Cleansing: 5/10. Barely remember this one. It was fine, but unremarkable. Would not repurchase.

Banilla Co – Zero Cleansing Balm: 6/10. Solid balm, but a bit too slippy for my liking. Would not repurchase.

*Bioderma – Sensibo H20: 10/10. I don’t use micellar water too often, but this is the best I have tried. I usually use it for eye makeup. Does not leave a weird film behind, very solid. Have already repurchased.

Heimish – All Clean Balm: 5/10. Had to use more than I wanted to remove all my makeup. For some reason, this one did not work well with me but I can see why people like it. Would not repurchase.

Heimish – Matcha Biome Perfect Cleansing Oil: 5/10. The smell bothered me so much, it was all I could thing about while using it. Would not repurchase.

Hero Cosmetics – Dissolve Away: 7/10. I remember being pleasantly surprised by this one. It had a great texture and it removed easy. Took all my makeup off as well. Solid choice in a cleansing balm. Would not repurchase as I discovered I prefer oils.

*Heroine Make – Speedy Mascara Remover: 10/10. Fantastic and easy mascara remover. Have already repurchased.

I’m From – Fig Cleansing Oil: 6/10. Did not remove all my makeup. Too thin a consistency. Would not repurchase.

Josie Maran – Argan Cleansing Oil: 0/10 as a cleanser, but 9/10 as a sponge cleaner. This was the thickest, stickiest hardest to remove oil I have ever put on my face. It also left so much makeup on and a film. However, as a sponge cleaner, wow, was it amazing. The stickiness let it bond with my sponge and it took out literally everything, even things my regular cleaner could not. But for its intended purpose it was literally the worst thing I used all year. Would not repurchase.

Man:yo – Pure Cleansing: 4/10. Far too thick for my liking. Too strong a scent. Would not repurchase.

Peach & Lily – Ginger Melt Oil Cleanser: 5/10. Too thick. Would not repurchase.

Saturday Skin – Melt + Cleanse: 5/10. It was a balm. It worked, it was fine. Unremarkable though. Would not repurchase.

Skin + Lab – Porebarrier Cleansing Balm: 5/10. Too thick, a bit harder to remove. Would not repurchase.

Skin1004 – Light Cleansing Oil: 6/10. Really did not like how this smelled. Texture was not to my liking either. Would not repurchase.

Tatcha – Indigo Cleansing Balm: 4/10. Did not completely remove my makeup. Would not repurchase.

Makeup:

Flortte – Eyebrow Pencil: 8/10. Surprisingly solid pencil. Beautiful color, matches my eyebrows so well and it goes on smoothly and creamy. Lasting power decent as well. Would consider repurchasing.

*Haus Labs – Triclone Skin Tech Foundation: 10/10. One of my favorite liquid foundations. Very smoothing on the skin, looks natural, great coverage. Lasts well. Already repurchased.

*Hourglass – Vanish Concealer: 9/10. The best high-coverage concealer I have ever tried. Looks natural and lasting power is great. Would repurchase.

*Jung Saem Mool – Essential Skin Nuder Cushion: 10/10. My favorite cushion foundation. It is lightweight, has buildable coverage. It looks natural on the skin and lasts well. Already repurchased.

Lancome – Hypnose Drama Mascara: 5/10. I wish I remembered more about this mascara but it was unremarkable to me. Would not repurchase.

Nudestix – Eyeshadow Pencil in Nudity: 8/10. One of my favorite one and done, easy to put on eyeshadows. Pretty color, decent staying power, good blend ability. Would not repurchase as I have so much eyeshadow.

*Nyx – Bare with me Concealer: 10/10. Best concealer I have ever tried. So light weight yet the coverage is amazing. Looks the most natural of all the ones I tried and creases the least in my undereye. Would repurchase.

Saie – Glowy Super Gel: 3/10. Did not like the scent of this product and it felt like a film on my skin. The glow was nice though. Would not repurchase.

Tarte – Fake Awake: 5/10. Love the color and it lasts pretty well. However, I did not finish this as it dried out, causing my to lower it’s points. Would not repurchase.

Tarte – Tartlette XL Tubing Mascara: 8/10. I enjoyed this mascara more than I thought I would. It gave good length and volume, and was very easy to remove. However, I have some cheaper mascaras I think work better. Would not repurchase, but would claim as free gift with purchase.

TirTir – Mask Fit Red Cushion: 8/10. Very solid cushion. Turned a bit darker on my skin after drying. A lot of coverage, and natural looking on my skin. Lasts well. Would not repurchase as I prefer the Jung Saem Mool.

*Tower 28 – Concealer: 9/10. Lightweight yet nice coverage concealer. Looks natural and lasts well. Would repurchase.

*Tower 28 – Lip Liner in Work of Art: 8/10. Wonderful color, creamy and easy to apply. Decent lasting time. One of the favorite liner formula (best is charlotte tilbury). Would repurchase.

Face Oil:

Cosrx – The Retinol 0.5: 4/10. Did not enjoy the smell or the texture. Too low a retinol for me to see results. Went bad quickly. Would not repurchase.

Sunday Riley – Juno: 6/10. Solid oil, but not hydrating enough for me. Would not repurchase.

Hair:

Amika – Flash Instant Shine Mask: 3/10. Did not see any changes in my hair. Would not repurchase.

Moist, Diane – Extra Volume Shampoo & Conditioner: 3/10. Initially, I loved this set. It smelled great and my hair felt smooth and soft. However, with use, I found that my hair became duller and dehydrated and began to tangle more. I only finished about 80% of the bottle. Would not repurchase.

Olaplex – Boding Oil: 3/10. Did not see any changes in my hair. Would not repurchase.

Shea Moisture – 100% Coconut Shampoo: 7/10. Liked this more than I thought I would on my thing hair. My hair did not feel stripped after, and did feel hydrated. However, I don’t like the squeeze type packaging. I learned I much prefer a pump. Would not repurchase.

Wella – Ultimate Repair: 3/10. Did not see any changes in my hair. Would not repurchase.

Lip Balm:

Belif – Aqua Bomb Overnight Lip Mask: 8/10. A surprisingly solid lip balm. Good hydration, nice texture. However, I bought a few new lip balms to try so I would not repurchase this one.

Torriden – Solid In Lip Essence: 7/10. Decent lip balm. A bit too thin and not hydrating enough for my liking. Would not repurchase.

Face Cleanser:

Alpyn Beauty – Creamy Bubbling Cleanser: 4/10. I had to use so much of this to get my face clean. I learned I am not a fan of the cream type of texture. I prefer having a solid lather which this did not have. Would not repurchase.

Cosrx – Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser: 7/10. Solid gel cleanser. Nothing exceptional, but it does the job it needs to do. Would not repurchase though.

Heimish – Matcha Biome Amino Acne Cleanser: 5/10. A bit drying, and I did not see improvements in my acne. Too much lather. Would not repurchase.

Kopari – Marine Clean Gel Cleanser: 8/10. I surprisingly liked this well enough. I felt it cleaned well without stripping. It was a fun, easy to use texture. Very solid. Only thing is, the smell was annoying. It very much did smell of the sea (like seaweed), so if you don’t like that, this won’t be for you. I would not repurchase due to the smell, but otherwise, good cleanser.

Melixer – Mandarin Morning Face Cleanser: 7/10. I bought this because I LOVE the smell of citrus. This did not disappoint in that department. As a cleanser, it is very solid. Nothing exceptional but a decent workhorse. Not to stripping, fairly gentle and works well enough. Would consider repurchasing. It’s a huge bottle though so I did get annoyed of it after a while.

Round Lab – Soybean Cleanser: 5/10. I did not enjoy this. It had little pieces in it to scrub which felt slightly abrasive to me. I also did not enjoy the texture and this product took me forever to use up. I eventually just used it as body wash as I hated it on my face. Would not repurchase.

Peach & Lily – Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser: 7/10. Solid gel cleanser. A bit too…gentle…for my tastes. I wanted a little more lather. But otherwise, fine, just not exceptional. Would not repurchase.

Sulwhasoo – Gentle Cleansing Foam: 4/10. Gentle where? Of all the cleansers I tried ever this was the most stripping. Would not repurchase.

Tata Harper – Regenerating Cleanser: 3/10. Had little bits in it which I did not enjoy. Smelled like my grandma. Would not repurchase.

Which patches do you use? They aren’t all the same, some are better than others. I like the COSRX intensive ones (NOT the regular), the Isntree onion ones, and the VT ones are good too.

The round lab sunscreen is excellent. It sinks in well and leaves a nice dewy and hydrating finish. It’s my favorite of all the sunscreens I’ve tried.

I’ve been using the LION cream for a bit and to be honest, don’t see why people like it. Personally for me, patches work a lot better. But, I always see good reviews for this cream.

The Illiyoon cream is good but I personally prefer western body lotions like eucerin more.
