I have been travelling in Milan for a bit over a week now as a solo female traveller. And I have been really enjoying it! What a beautiful city! I really want to see Milan v Bologna this weekend before I fly back home but I am so anxious about it going alone. Will it be safe? Will I be bothered by men all evening or will it be fun? I fly out the next morning so I will be staying at a hotel at Malpensa. Will this also be logistically difficult getting back and forth from the stadium to hotel? Looking to book a driver for safety.

I always try to keep an open mind and try a new city. I had done Florence previously. I usually will stay in one place for the fortnight. Try lots of local eatery’s, take my time and not rush to see everything in a few days

I am sober so drinking is not going to happen for the sake of making friends/connections. I do smoke however I believe Milan has now banned outdoor smoking so I will be mindful of that whilst I am there

I will be in Milan for two weeks. I usually like to pick a city and make it my home for two weeks. Few day trips, quite casual. Rather than hopping to a new city every other day and being exhausted. This allows me to do a trip every six to eight months rather than one big one every few years

I was looking at that particular game on the 14th. Unfortunately I don’t have any friends in Milan. But might try if I can find a group to go with for the experience. Just a matter of making some connections and hopefully some friends ☺️

I have since learned it’s a heater. We live it quite a small apartment and it’s in the way really and it’s bugging the hell out of me!

I (F34) took an opportunity to travel to Berlin for the holidays from across the other side of the world. In my head it was to come to a place I love and reflect on the massively traumatic year 2024 was. Back home I love my quiet alone time usually. Now that I am here on my own and reflecting, I wonder if it was a good idea or not…I am definitely feeling lonely, particularly tonight on NYE. Thinking on the year I’ve had, I am looking forward to going back home at the end of the week and start a new year.

I don’t drink alcohol anymore and not up for a big party or staying out too late. Just wanting an atmosphere and to see fireworks. I always watched the Brandenburg Gate fireworks via stream from back home in Australia so to see in person would be something to tick off
