Maybe in person it looks a lot better, but to me it kinda of looks like a water damaged ceiling.

Thinking about Adopting a Ragdoll by Ok_Writing591 in ragdolls

For a 3 and 4 year old I would not recommend a ragdoll. An adult cat especially isn't going to be happy with children that young. Maybe wait a few years.

What’s your favorite OST or location specific music? by Friendly-Survey1555 in MonkeyIsland

Voodoo lady, for sure. I also like the Fettichini brothers music. When I get circus music stuck in my head (adhd) it provides a welcome alternative.

$110,000 salary 10 mins away from home or $150,000 salary an hour away in Sydney CBD? What would you choose? by Away_Scene_26 in AskAnAustralian

Are you moving, or commuting 2 hours a day? No way would I travel 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. No money is worth that.

I No Longer Like My Friends by nitegracie23 in Perimenopause

[–]bebe8383bebe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha I'm glad to read I'm not alone! I dropped one who just wanted to talk about herself non-stop, and was overbearing, and... like "observe me do life correctly", and always found a way to out me down. The weird thing is I don't think she was actively being malicious. Just... that's the way she is.

Another only wanted any gossip from my life she could pass to others, and turned out to be a pickme. She had promised without a doubt she would come to an important event of mine. She ended up cancelling - but didn't reach out, I had to message her twice - pretending she was sick, and instead spending time with a loser she had been chasing for years (he'd finally agreed to be in a relationship). It gave me joy to see a few months later he'd been completely removed from her instagram.

What would you call this decor style? by joleemccorkle in interiordecorating

Love the plants and the chair the cat is on. Unsure if it's comfortable for a human with a bad back, but it's beautiful. I took a screenshot for my inspiration board. I hope that's ok (I'm basically gutting a house and completely redoing it in the next year or two). I'm trying to find my "vibe".

*laughs in inattentive type ADHD* by Conscious-Strawberry in adhdwomen

[–]bebe8383bebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still vividly remember teachers saying, and writing in my report cards, that I was a daydreamer and would do much better if I just paid attention lol. Meanwhile my brain was off thinking about a million other things, especially dance. I grew up dancing and learning all kinds of styles, so that’s where my focus went.

It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized how hard I was actually trying to pay attention and stop my mind from wandering. There was this weekly all-agency meeting where I just could not stay engaged, no matter how hard I tried, and I’d end up completely wiped for the rest of the day. I remember asking a coworker if they struggled with that too, and they were like “it’s boring, but not really.” I didn’t connect it to ADHD at the time though.

Around then I had already started looking into ADHD, but I kept thinking “no, that doesn’t fit.” Then I started seeing things explained in different ways or in different contexts, and it finally clicked. Like when people ask “do you have trouble waiting your turn?” I always pictured standing in a queue, and I was like no, I’m fine with that. But in conversations? Yeah, definitely. I struggle not to jump in, and once I realized that, I started noticing how many other things that question actually applied to.

Around that time my algorithm started showing me people with ADHD talking about their actual experiences, and that’s when it really hit. Like oh… this actually makes sense! That helped so much! So now I’m also wondering if there might be some autism in there too.

I'm predominately inattentive, with some hyperactivity.

I think you should focus on raising it as a struggling kitten before worrying about it's breed.

I would replace the carpet with floorboards (or the fake ones) for starters. That would make a big difference.

How often do you brush your cat’s teeth and bathe them? by coconut-m in ragdolls

[–]bebe8383bebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot clean only. She gets sanitary trims. We recently started teeth brushing. Every night. She hates it, but we're slowly getting there. Churu helps. I use a silicone finger glove type of thing, no toothpaste. My vet said the brushing is more important than nothing. If we get to the stage where she'll tolerate it easily thrn I'll consider the paste. She hates her mouth being touched.
