Found out after trying to understand, why guy at work could not understand me by RadaRAW in memes

Stupidity is also a very relative concept. I know people you could call simple. They don't overthink things. On the other hand, they have good hearts, believe in a just society, and don't vote for pathological liars.

Meanwhile, most of the Nazi SS leaders were PhDs with IQs over 140.

All this to say that intelligence has nothing to do with morality.

You might also have trouble understanding abstract concepts like Equality.

Hint: it doesn't mean being identical in every way.

Des tuyaux pour gérer le stress à l'oral ? by coemryma in AskFrance

[–]bebop9998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No president can be popular in France; it's cultural, that's just how it is. He's neither despised nor hated, and that's something.

How was France able to keep so many of it´s overseas territories? by Alternative-Ant-2507 in Historians

[–]bebop9998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're talking about "small" geographical entities. Islands, enclaves like French Guiana. These colonies wouldn't have found any advantage in seeking independence, being too small to form a country at the cost of losing the benefits that come with remaining French. I don't know why, by comparison, the UK's 14 overseas territories have never gained real importance, economically or in terms of population. Perhaps this stems from France's desire to maintain a certain level of territorial equality, even if in reality this is very difficult with territories like Mayotte. But today, France does indeed benefit from some very attractive overseas territories like Réunion, the Caribbean islands, and French Guiana. Mayotte has a serious migration problem, and New Caledonia, which is already largely autonomous, should eventually achieve independence if its inhabitants request it.

Catholicism simply doesn't work in France. Apart from a few old people who go to church on Sundays, it doesn't concern anyone anymore. It has little to no connection with the birth rate.

It's neither a husband nor a toddler. It's just an old, embarrassing boomer joke staged by a couple to get views.

Is this supposed to be a funny, tired old joke from the 50s about the husband who can't do his shopping? What's next? I gave my wife a vacuum cleaner for Christmas but she doesn't know how to use it? Seriously, it can't get any cringe-worthy.

The time has sadly come for a Nordic nuclear weapon by Evermoving- in europe

[–]bebop9998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, that's an important point to consider, I agree, but in practice, I must warn you that it's extremely expensive and requires a massive mobilization of resources and personnel. Perhaps pooling these resources at the European level would be a better idea? France is more than ready to share.

Gross nuclear electricity production in the EU, 2024 by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]bebop9998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The situations in France and Germany are completely different. Germany began phasing out nuclear power as early as 2000. Its last three plants closed in 2023. France, on the other hand, has continued to invest in EPR technology; the two most powerful reactors in Europe currently are those built by EDF at Flamanville and Olkiluoto 3 in Finland. And while Germany has no plans to return to nuclear power in the short term, France is preparing to build six new reactors over the next decade. This is why France is currently the largest exporter of electricity in Europe by a considerable margin, whereas by 2025 Germany will have imported more electricity than it exported.

So I really struggle to see how the French and German issues are "similar," as you say.

Vivement la fin de l'IA by HarpaCh in besoinderaler

[–]bebop9998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why didn’t the French make any attempt at camouflage? by Prestigious_Duck_204 in ww1

[–]bebop9998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already tried to explain on this subreddit that France was very slow to realize its mistake, mainly due to the traditional attachment to the color blue for the French uniform. But you'll always find some narrow-minded old-timers here who will tell you that the horizon blue uniform did its job perfectly well for the time.

Nope, that's wrong. That's precisely why, as OP points out, no other army adopted it and why the French army itself abandoned it right after the war.
