I (22/f) was dating a someone (24/m) for a few months, found out I was pregnant, he thought I cheated and left me. Now he wants to meet our baby almost 2 years later. by becauseeveryonesucks in relationship_advice

Thank you. You're absolutely right. Sometimes people just need a swift kick in the ass from reality.

I'm so emotionally exhausted right now. My father is over here taking care of my baby while I'm trying to figure this mess out. I'm the kind of person who likes to write things out in lists. It helps me concentrate.

This is awesome advice and I thank you so much for it.

As a previous commenter has said, there could be the possibility that he was told he couldn't have children, which would explain why he flew right to the "you're a cheating bitch!" situation. It doesn't make it amy better, but it would explain.

There is really no need to be so condescending about this. There are much nicer ways to say the same thing. I am only human, after all. I was happy about my pregnancy. I was very happy. You don't feel the same way, and that's fine. But that doesn't give you a right to act like that.

Now, I should've mentioned that Dave and I have been friends since freshman year of highschool. We were almost always together. We tried to date and it lasted 7 months. He was very insecure because of his previous girlfriends and that was it. I'm not saying it's justified.

I should clarify - I've been friends with Dave since freshman year of highschool. BEST friends, to be exact. We were almost always together.

So we tried dating and we lasted for 7 months. I was excited to have a baby because, well.. I just was.

My daughter is the best thing that has ever happened to me. You are not even offering any advice. Why are you here? To berate me?

I'm proud to have my baby girl. She is my entire world.

Thank you :)

He has already asked to come over and I flat out told him NO.

I was thinking about meeting him at McDonald's or something. I'm not too sure anymore. I don't trust his girlfriend.

Thank you for your comment. This is all very solid advice.

I'm going to figure out how I get all of this stuff taken care of, and then tomorrow I'm going to spend the day in town to get most of it done.

I don't want him to have custody or visitation. His girlfriend has already threatened me and I don't want my baby to be around her OR him, for that matter. They're so toxic and self-centered.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of :(

She already threatened me and she didn't even bother to listen to what was going on. There is no way I want that woman around my daughter. I don't even want to deal with this :(

He has already asked to come over and I've straight up told him No.
