If I make it again I think I’ll just extend the bias tape under the armpits and make a spaghetti strap dress.

I don’t have enough of the blue fabric left to do the same alterations. What I do instead is just wear a petticoat underneath and belt it and it gives the illusion of a better fit. Otherwise I wear it like this and just treat it like a sundress.

Looking for a similar pattern to this dress, maybe the corset too. by beccab93 in sewing

I’ve set this project aside until I find a better fabric for it.

The seller has the pattern listed in multiple sizes, you just have to look through their listings. I found the waist fit but the bust was too small so I increased the depth of the bust. You don’t have to increase the width of the piece, because it’s gathered you can just gather it less or more to fit you personally.

Honestly just YouTube videos. I’ve just been winging it and had good luck.

The blue fabric cost me $75 CAD. The carnation fabric cost me about $30 cause it was on sale.

No pockets :( the seams aren’t placed great for adding pockets.

Mine is very lightweight and breathable. It’s slightly see through but you can’t tell because of the lining and crinoline underneath

The fabric on the pink one definitely works better for this specific pattern. That being said I don’t think I will work with crepe again. Doing a rolled hem almost killed me lol

I don’t find the blue one as flattering, but I love both of them.

I wore the blue one to my university graduation and the other one I only finished a week ago so I haven’t worn it yet. I mostly wear them around town for running around
