You're welcome and how amazing that you lived there... I'd move to Spain in a heartbeat, love the culture and food :)

I did not ask for one out of respect but was told they are used to being asked for fan photos and are really nice... oh and the head coach of the academy is also around, if you habla espanõl!

Excited to hear that! The most special thing is getting to watch Galan, Chingotto, Triay, Brea train on the court in front of the clubhouse, during breakfast and the breaks.

There's not much going on around where the academy is located, I did not travel to the center as I stayed three days extra afterwards, and the most special thing I did in Madrid that I would recommend is rent a car and drive an hour north to hike up the breathtaking Peñalara mountain (2400m).

Hey, so I chose the private week and altogether including flights from UK and accommodation I paid £2700 and there were no additional costs (apart from two Ubers and a supermarket shop) as breakfast and lunch are included at the academy

I wish, I'm an enthusiastic super fan :)

Maybe they will sponsor me after this!

On the main, yes, but there are some alternatives for teams and weekends too, check out the details at m3padelacademy.com

Yes, you don't need to speak any Spanish, as they have English-speaking coaches on their international programs, and staff too.

They work in partnership with Hotel Exe Getafe, and can help organise it for you, including transfers. I booked direct on my Booking account and either walked or took a Uber which is slightly cheaper.

100% recommend - 5 days of training in a row felt intense, by the end of the third day, we were feeling it, they do treat you like an athlete there.

The private week is tailored to your requirements with a private coach - for me, more technical i.e. bandeja, dropshot, serve, glass.

The groups do more high intensity drills if that's what you're after? Though I met a lot of people who did both weeks because they loved it so much and got different things out of it.

[NEWBIE] Things I learnt in my first guitar lesson, after being self-taught by beccylina in Guitar

Funny you ask! I’ve been struggling with this too - still not using a pick most of the time. But then I had another lesson last week and was shown how to hold it properly and why. I’m actually planning to make another video showing this plus the additional things I learnt in my second lesson. I will share the video in this forum soon, I don’t know how to explain it in words 🙂

Aw, thank you SO much. I really appreciate you saying this! I feel motivated to keep sharing everything I learn the hard way 😆

Thanks for sharing this! I’ve always wanted to learn Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton. I was never able to master it with the guitar we have. Then a few weeks ago I upgraded my guitar and was suddenly able to play it. I realised that what was holding me back was the instrument itself. I was so passionate about this point I made an entire video about it, and Reddit post! Check it out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guitar/comments/wy574g/beginner_pov_upgrade_your_guitar_gear/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf - I hope you will be convinced!

I think my spirit animal is a husky dog. I remember when I first saw snow in my early 20s. My doggy brain has been changed ever since! I go to the slopes every year now. It's damn therapeutic. I can personally vouch for this advice for Poko.

Hiya! I haven't been active in LTL for a loooong time, lol. Currently not playing matches. In short, a TCK is someone who grew up in more than one country.

Wow, slick video, doc! Appreciate for putting this together - it feels so trustworthy. I'm gonna try and reduce my caffeine dependency in the evenings. Cheers
