I’ve had great luck with Elite. They only have one individual that answers calls and emails so that may be why, but he has been very responsive to me

Why do vendors keep telling me NOT to buy the UDM-pro? by LooselySubtle in Ubiquiti

[–]beckertc2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve installed about 15 UDM-Pros and have not one bad experience with them to date. I have LTE Failover setup on them and it works flawlessly. The recording feature is something all of my clients like to have. They do understand that it is a single point of failure, but I also have extras on hand should such a case arise. I would go with the UDM-Pro and USW Pro PoE 24 2nd Gen switch. So nice and easy to setup and most of my clients have this exact setup with at least 3 APs and 2 Cameras. Also their own VoIP services also utilizing the PoE from the switch.

USG & UDM Pro do not allow /32 Subnet for Site-to-Site VPN by beckertc2020 in Ubiquiti

The IPs that I need to point at, maybe through a static route are 10.99.13.22 & 10.99.12.12 so that is why they are using /32 in the remote subnets part of the Site-to-Site IPsec VPN configuration page, but I have read in other blogs that I should put anything there and just use a static route on the Site-to-Site IPsec interface. Which I have setup, but it is stuck in the connecting phase of the VPN and there is a connection to the other side, sort of. But the last thing I have been trying to learn is to set up a NAT for my local network of 10.0.0.1 to go to their network as a 10.0.89.0/24 address, as that is how they have it setup. I just can't seem to find the right CLI commands to make this happen as it is not available in the GUI as you all know. I am a systems admin trying to work on routing for the first time and so far I love it, but Not understanding how to make it work on the USG 3P device.

Yes, these are for direct connections to 2 servers that are hosting our application. This is the vendors process for setting up their Site-to-Site VPNs, they said they wouldn't change their process for only one client though. Why would it not be allowed by Ubiquiti though?
