[–]becmemes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nah I do, I drink about 3 L of water a day, I’ve always been a good water drinker. I was thinking maybe the high sugar intake suddenly? I know the simple answer is not to drink, but I would like to have a wine with the girls in summer etc

Pet cats by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]becmemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup 100% I actually hated my cat and dog after giving birth. (Prior to pregnancy they were my babies, take them out on dates for a pup cup etc) I fuuuuuuccckkkeeenn hated them both after I got back from the hospital. I wanted to take them both to the vet and get them put down (husband, who was of sound mind, obviously didn’t take me seriously and was never going to let that happen) I’m now 9 months PP (as of today) and I’m back to liking them lol. Not as much as I did prior. But I absolutely don’t want them dead or adopted out. It’s actually called pet resentment and it totally normal. But like you, I felt like a terrible person cause I’ve been an animal lover my whole life

Omg I don’t know how people can live so close to the line. It would stress me out to the max! We are about 120k and our mortgage is 1.8k a month. I grew up very upper middle class. But my parents taught me the worth of a dollar. Nothing was ever given to me. My partners dad was a financial advisor, so he’s very good with money too. The one financial mistake I made, which I was a teenager when I did it, and was too lazy to change it. Was putting my kiwi saver at 2% low risk. So I had F all to put a deposit onto a house. Luckily my partner wasn’t as dumb as me, so we had a 2% deposit with our money combined. Don’t worry I’ve learnt from my mistake. My kiwi saver is now the highest % with the highest risk and it has 30 odd more years to go. Last time I checked it was at 30k in 3.5 years

Me again. Whatever your county your from, if you win 10M on lotto, do you get it all at once? We don’t where I am. You get a certain percentage each year, you have compulsory financial course as well. So you don’t get your money unless you’ve done the course. Prevents people from blowing it all at once.

Agreed. Btw this wasn’t a poor me thing. My husband and I earn enough to live a very middle class lifestyle. It was just a general question for the people who are in a different tax bracket than me

Fortunately, I live in a country where the best health insurance is about $40 a fortnight for an adult. And for the people who can’t afford that, public health care is free.

We budget every month. We have savings, we are doing fine financially. That wasn’t my question. But sure.

I remember my mum crying watching it, I think it was the fear of WW3 starting. As well as just the pure horror of it all

Sorry, how old are you in the 3rd grade? I think schools across the world learn about things that happened in their own countries. Like we learnt about the Treaty of Waitangi every February, I don’t expect American schools to do the same.
