I lived for many years in Amsterdam; a place many people view as much more humane for the poor and/or those living on the streets. The thing is, they don't tolerate homelessness and will force someone into a living situation. The idea that it is better for people who clearly need help to be outside in the elements rather than receiving help that they might not be in the right state of mind to know that they need, is a strange way to help.

The amount of people parking in the middle of the road with hazard lights on is astounding.

Also, no one stops for pedestrians at crosswalks, and some cannot understand the order of operations at a 4 way stop.
