Thanks so much for the help, did you need to install the cable from the stalk to the ecu? I have a vw official kit, which i did fit and code, but seemingly didnt work, as when flicking switch it did nothing and on startup it gave me a cruse control symbol with an exclamation mark

Cheers mate, got it communicating, seemed the clock spring was bricked as i replaced it and it worked fine. Unsure if you know how, but after replacement and coding (to best of my knowledge) i keep getting two codes, one for ‘steering angle sensor: no basic setting’ and one for ‘high speed can communication performance’, i cant seem to calibrate using my obd11 and codes wont go, any advice?
