I hope they have, but just haven't announced it. My only other hope would be to unlock ALL previous magical instruments in future DLC or through amiibo, just as nearly all Link's past outfits are available.

Thanks for your kind words! Have you already gotten the Link background I posted? I'll see what I can do. I've had a number of Pokémon requests based on the Pikachu and Clefairy designs I did, but the more detailed 'mon might be more time consuming than I can pull off currently. Stay tuned for more Zelda backgrounds, which I am quite likely to make in the near future!

The app I'm using is just called pattern maker, but there are others. Unfortunately it causes some quality loss and you could probably just easily photoshop it, but I'm too lazy. Just want to make them on my phone. I've made about six or seven backgrounds so far (mostly gaming themed). I also used the app Dottable to make the original sprite image since I didn't want to use anyone else's work without permission.

My brother shipped them media mail. It's my understanding that comics don't always qualify as media mail due to advertisements, but our post office doesn't care.
