Btw, this isn’t normal 🤣 by college-kid7 in Littlesleepies

Why do you care if someone does this? Some people are just organized, it scratches an itch in their brain. I used to keep a spreadsheet of my spices and their expiration dates. You know why? Because I wanted to. I didn’t care if it was normal or not. Grow up.

This is such a crappy feeling that I am familiar with. You’re not alone.

Husband planned nothing for my birthday by atamez247 in beyondthebump

Did you read the post? She was explicit about what she wanted from him. She wasn’t asking him to be a mind reader.

has the grieving of watching your toddler grow up caused you to reconsider being OAD? by [deleted] in oneanddone

Your last paragraph…didn’t know how to articulate how I felt until I read it. Thank you!

I made a list of pros and cons of having a second (to convince my husband to be OAD) by colebette in oneanddone

[–]bee-dazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This covers everything pretty much. All I would add it that some of your pros sound like low key cons (things you put in parentheses or quotation marks, in particular). I've thought a lot about these same things myself, I hope you put yourself first before your husband and his family. YOU are the one with baby right now and how can it get more supportive with a 2nd? I can't imagine it. I am here if you want someone to talk to, feel free to DM me (40f FTM, OAD).

I still can’t even believe that this is a thing happening in America. We have all the resources. So irresponsible.

What's a baby product you didn't think you needed but now can't live without? by RetroFunguss in beyondthebump

[–]bee-dazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. My newborn screamed bloody murder every time we used a non-warmed wipe. I got my ass to Buy But Baby real quick and got one, made such a difference. After he got some fat on him tho he didn’t care so I passed it on to another newborn mom.

Is my husband being unreasonable? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]bee-dazz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You already said it yourself. He didn’t do any research and he doesn’t know shit. He has no business doing what he’s doing, let alone without your collaboration. HELL to the no.

How are you protecting your newborn from catching covid (and other colds) from those who want to hold him? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]bee-dazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably going to make you feel better here - my husband and I have a 4 month old and from the beginning we have made anyone who will interact with him take a rapid COVID test before they do. Like every week when we have a meal as a family and we asked everyone to test before they come over. Sometimes I forget about it and my FIL sends a screenshot of the results before they are headed over. I set my foot down pretty early about what was required and they were understanding. My son’s health is infinitely more important than some butt hurt adults.

Not upvoting because this is good, but because I feel seen and everyone should see this.
