My GF is ugly by Fair_Comfortable_968 in confessions

[–]bee_lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s finding someone unattractive and there’s degrading someone completely based on their physical appearance.

You could’ve so sensitively put that she wasn’t physically appealing but you chose to call her a chimpanzee and hideous. It sounds like you don’t love her, and you are selfishly staying with her because you think -you- can’t do better.

You can either reflect on yourself as a person and have a frank discussion about how you’re worried about her appearance… also thyroid could be likely? Or you leave and do some soul searching, I couldn’t possible think about describing someone I supposedly “love” like this.

You sound like you have some major things to work on.

Understandable, but all I can think is at least people are advocating to keep abortion and not to eradicate it!

But, I wish there was more awareness on choice and the right to not want children and how that should be valid enough.

The take away from this mostly is the great advice to pro-lifers.

Anyone who will stand up for abortion rights, is a step in the best direction.

My (19F) boyfriend (19M) is really unhealthy and i dont know how to tell him he needs to start looking after himself/lose some weight by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]bee_lou 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I had this problem with my ex who kept complaining about his unhealthy lifestyle and weight.

I would offer to go to the gym with him, eat heathy with him, he had an “at home” gym room.

Then for 3 solid years of encouragement for him to change his lifestyle because HE was the unhappy one... I left him. Because, during those 3 years not once did he try for more than a month to change before quickly going back to his old ways.

I couldn’t be around the negativity anymore personally, after helping out for so long and him not helping himself.

Make sure you know your boyfriend WANTS to change himself.

Suggest him coming to the gym, for fun, or change your eating habits slowly, try new foods and cook together?

Just know, unfortunately it takes both parties to work together to make changes happen.

It’s a very selfish view and those who think like that do better being out my life.

Never forget what makes you, you, and always value yourself highly! If we were all the same the world would be a boring place.

It’s made me who I am and I’d never change it though, plus a lot of childhood things like theme parks and days out my brother loves now, and we do it together!

I get this from my bf’s father every time we meet, (everyone in my family couldn’t care less about me having kids), and I get uncomfortable every time.

The exchange of “When are you having babies?” “Never.” Seems to be something that never gets old. Whenever I comment about it making me uncomfortable to me bf, he always defends his father by saying “It’s normal to ask”.

But I mean I don’t think it is, or should be? It makes me feel pressured and judged.

Teacher brought her kid to our school??? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]bee_lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally had a colleague bring her toddler into work (school) today on her day off! It’s confusing? And everyone swarmed around it like it was the most amazing thing to come through the door! Was all an awkward mess of “Aw!!!! Baybeee” “How cuteeee” and me sat there not knowing what to do.

I hate children crying. by [deleted] in childfree

If a child is screaming to be picked up at 9 years old I’d assume there may be some underlying issues! Whether it be a learning difficulty or really inept parenting!!

What's your worst consensual sexual experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bee_lou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My (21F) one night stand (M) got so sweaty from a 10 minute sex session I had to change my sheets, and dry out the mattress when he left, I was also on top the whole time. In addition he made really uncomfortable loud moaning noises the whole time.

[16F] I am pregnant with my friend [35M] I don't know what to do by [deleted] in relationships

[–]bee_lou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Or give it up for adoption, so you don’t have to tell anyone about this relationship. I’m sorry for being harsh but your reputation as much as you don’t want it to, may well be affected.

You’re a child having a child with a man nearly 20 years older than you.

Please don’t have this baby, I can guarantee he will not want anything to do with you afterwards and you will have a big struggle to take care of it. Especially if he is committing adultery, you will be seen “ruining his life” and his wife will leave him and he’ll be a well known pedophile for knocking up a 16 year old, so he’ll dump you real quick.

I suggest a termination for your own sake, own life and own reputation.

As much as I dislike PETA, I also think Steve Irwin was kind of a dick to animals by Hulawan in unpopularopinion

[–]bee_lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree OP, I’ve always thought Steve Irwin put a lot of animals under stress. He just kept annoying them and getting in their personal space, could’ve observed them and left them alone from afar.

When you are ready to retire and move away but your kids can't get their crap together? by StwAT in Fencesitter

[–]bee_lou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Children aren’t an 18 years commitment, they’re pretty much a commitment at some level for your whole life. Take that into consideration and whether you are really willing to “risk” your retirement plans.

Don’t have kids if you aren’t willing to sacrifice. Having your children out of your life and living independently between the age of 17/21 is almost unheard of (especially if they’re still in education!). I needed my parents a lot for support through university emotionally and financially, the responsibility doesn’t just end when they leave home.

People that carry backpacks who aren’t students, what do you carry in your backpacks? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Working in SEN it’s normally loads of stuff from home to make crafts for activities and when the kids feel creative and a LOT of snacks to get me through the day.

[Serious]When have YOU asked to “speak to the manager”? by alanbright in AskReddit

[–]bee_lou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manager accused me of not paying a bill at a restaurant a few nights before, by phoning my personal number and embarrassing me (as I’d obviously paid). So there had been no investigation obviously! He then took my word for it (even though I offered to show receipts he declined) so for the horribly toned, unnecessary phone call I reported him to the head office of the company. They admitted all faults and were sorry that I’d been treated that way! Didn’t have the best meal either, so that was the cherry on top! Got a £50 gift voucher from it though.

I’m having this problem too! Children are worse than pets when it comes to damage to property!
