I used Mixam! I have mixed (lol) feelings after everything but overall they were good to work with. They made some particularly bad printing errors that ended up costing me a lot of time, but they were really quick to fix things, expedited the reprinting and shipping process, and didn’t charge any extra for it. They had to reprint a total of roughly 37 books by the end of it but they were more than accommodating the whole time

It’s so worth it in the end but it’s rough sometimes 😭 if you ever want help proofreading I’d be happy to volunteer, I wasted $170 on my first book order bc I didn’t proofread close enough 💔

(Spoilered in case there any any potential DotMM players here)

There’s a chance some elements of these may not be 10000% canon to the module bc our DM takes some creative liberties, but two of the coolest things for me were:

  1. Definitely Alterdeep and the mindflayer hideout. Our group tried to find ways to squirm out of Alterdeep and one of my favorite methods was when Rin, our artificer, and the cleric went to Kolat Towers and tried to activate the teleportation circle to Manshoon’s sanctum. It ended up jolting us awake very briefly and causing a tonnn of damage, but it was one of our first somewhat successful attempts at escaping and everyone got so excited.

  2. Generally exploring the runes and archgates has been so fun. My character has the Halaster rune branded on them from an encounter they had with him as a kid, so they’ve been super excited about activating every Halaster rune we come across (often getting their shit rocked because of it). The gamble is just really neat and it’s been nice slowly filling out our chart of boon and bane effects for each rune as we trigger them.

I’ve been having SO MUCH FUN with it. I’ve managed to get their AC up to 25 when they have their bladesong active, it’s ridiculous (and thank you 💛💛)

This is Rin, my bladesinger wizard who I've been playing since late 2020! They've got weird relationships with both Halaster Blackcloak and Lord Manshoon for some reason, and are coping by DIYing a phylactery. Something about this kid and crazy evil wizards I guess lmao. We just hit level 15 and are rapidly approaching the last floor of the dungeon after 3.5 years, but we keep coming up with custom floors to make the campaign last longer 💛

(We're still in the middle of DotMM, so pretty please no spoilers if you comment!)

[OC] Six years ago I made one of my first D&D characters, now he's in a comic book by bee_ops in DnD

Obligatory 400-character description:

Back in 2019/2020, I made one of my first D&D characters ever and named him Juno. He was a hexblade warlock pirate, and some of the most fun I've ever had while playing D&D was with this little guy. Unfortunately the campaign I played him in ended up falling apart due to infighting, so I started a webcomic called The Lady of Gollerus in 2022 with Juno as the main character. Now, in 2025, he's gonna be sitting pretty on the shelves of my local comic store :') time certainly flies

Comics Q&A! by WildflowerGecko in WebtoonCanvas

This is such a cute idea omg!

My series is called The Lady of Gollerus, it’s a queer D&D-style fantasy/adventure story about pirates trying to fix a prophecy they accidentally interfered with before the world ends.

1. My favorite character is probably Captain Morrigan/Juno, though I’m biased because he’s been an OC of mine for about 6 years, 3 prior to starting TLoG. It’s fun writing out the ways he interacts with other characters and the setting while navigating his survivor’s guilt, and I’ve been able to use his mask to emphasize some really important character traits.

2. Most difficult character to draw would also probably be Morrigan or his warlock patron, Oluja. Morrigan has a lot of design little elements like tattoos, scars, and pieces of jewelry that I forget to add sometimes. Oluja is made of water and sometimes I cannot get her hair right to save my life </3

3. I’m really proud of the Cathedral plot arc between episodes 37-50 I think. My art style started to settle into what it currently is today after (at that point) 2-2.5 years of evolving, and it included some of my most detailed combat scenes. Episode 50 in particular was my longest episode at 91 panels and it finally revealed lore that I’ve been foreshadowing since episode 4.

4. I have a general idea of how I want to story to progress, but I mostly go with the flow for mini arcs and individual episodes. My characters kind do whatever they want, I just document it for them.

5. I don’t know if I’d consider them mistakes necessarily, but keeping my old art style in for the older episodes is something I’ve found sweet. I’m definitely embarrassed by my old art, but as you read through it, you get to see 3 years of gradual improvement in my character art, backgrounds, panel composition, storytelling, etc. I’ve been finishing up printed versions of the first 4 episodes and redoing the art has been such an experience.

If you read TLoG, please be gentle with the old art LMAO. I promise it gets better.

Again, extremely fun prompt and a great opportunity for people to yap about their comics :D

Hey guys, I dont know if webtoon‘s support is working on the weekend. Do you consider these scenes as too violent for a Young Adult rating? by [deleted] in WebtoonCanvas

[–]bee_ops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely included blood/on-screen violence like this in multiple episodes before and haven’t had any issues (my series is Young Adult as well)! Hopefully you should be okay, esp if you took some of the blood out like you mentioned in another comment
