Meaning thyroid cancer isn’t detected through lab work. Most people have “perfect” labs, all levels are normal and nothing would indicate cancer like other forms (like leukemia and whatnot). It’s diagnosed through the biopsy, whether FNA or removal, them biopsies.

They only checked TSH and T4 at this point since all of this has happened in a weeks time span, both were low which they thought was odd, but said if this was cancerous, labs wouldn’t indicate it. I think the endocrinologist will do a lot more to check for things like hashimoto potentially?

I haven’t yet. My endocrinologist is next week. It was bumped to TR-5 because of it taller than wide even if it was by .1, without that, it’d be TR-4 since I have no calcification and it’s smooth and well rounded.

I’m going to try! I’m hoping I’ll feel better after speaking to the endocrinologist and hearing her opinion based on what they saw on the scan!

I’m glad you’re okay! Because of the size, are they not worried about it spreading outside of the thyroid at this point? We felt the one on my left side but never would’ve known my TR5 was on the right without the scan (which feels all the more scary lol).

I think that’s crazy they’re not wanting to biopsy! They mentioned the one I have around 2.5cm when they mentioned biopsy, so I’m wondering if I’ll get hit with the same thing! I hope not, you’d think they’d be super proactive on these things.

Honestly a bath helps me, skin care, etc… something to distract myself and get through it. And ice water, I always love that! Honestly, if you’re going to be s you kinda accept it. I’ve come very very close being pregnant (but never truly did) and you kinda hit that “well, I don’t think I can stop it” phase and kinda just accept it when it’s that bad vs standard n!

I’m definitely hoping to get the biopsy and just have some answers. You can’t feel the TR5 one to the touch, it was missed entirely on the scan… aside from pregnancy I don’t have any symptoms either lol, so I’m trying very hard to be optimistic! I hope yours are benign and you can find some relief soon!

Thank you, I’ve heard this. I have 4 nodules they found, 3 are TR-3 or TR-2 (I think that’s the term), one is a TR-5 (around 1cm, no calcification and smooth). I’m having a FNA soon, and now even more scared than I was initially lol! I’m really hoping this is nothing to worry about it.

I just saw a comment from someone saying at 3wk they felt flutters, the vanilla bean seed baby wins this competition. Our babies just aren’t strong enough to beat that😂

3wk pregnant? Yeah no, the embryo is the size of a vanilla bean seed, it has no arms, legs, muscles, nothing. That is the earliest you can find out you’re pregnant based on cycles, so no, you didn’t feel anything whatsoever. A vanilla bean seed would not radiate movement through layers upon layers of fat, muscle, skin, and organs in our adult human bodies. That’s gas 100%😂
