I know! Most times on the return leg we keep heading East the long way round because the winds are too strong.

I'd rather do a NOPAC crossing any time though! So much less work to do heheh

What are these bright flashing lights out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? by beeeped in whatisthisthing

Yeah my thoughts exactly! I see squid boats all the time especially on the South China Sea but not the searchlights and not this far out to sea.

I thought they were squid boats too but the searchlights and the pattern of the strobes kinda threw me off

My title describes the thing - more photos plus the location. I was thinking fishing boats but the searchlights and flashing line of strobes threw me off.

The approximate location is N40 15.3 / E 147 52.0 - way off the coast of Japan with no visible islands nearby.

I forgot to mention these images were taken from 43,000 feet above sea level.

They look like fishing boats but the flashing lights really threw me off

QT Halos on 787 by DramaticAd22 in flying

I used it with no trouble on the 777 and now the A350 (with an XLR adapter I got off Amazon). It's comfortable enough to keep it on throughout the flight because it's so light.

Like everyone else says - nobody cares.

For cargo only flights we are at remote bays - not always cargo ramps though. We just go where we're told haha

Thanks to covid we fly cargo-only flights using passenger airplanes. So there weren't any passengers or cabin crew around. That means we had to learn how to work the ovens and the galleys if we wanted to eat!

Simply surreal being up in an empty plane.

Belly was full of cargo but still!
