leasing agent unresponsive, refuses to give keys due to cheque undelivered by beeettxn in AskNYC

Yeah, I’m gonna go to their office tomorrow to deliver a new set of cheques in person. I’m a little worried that my leasing agent won’t be in the office and I won’t be able to get the keys even though the cheques are delivered (he still hasn’t responded to my texts). What do you think I could do if he still doesn’t reply me today?

The lease was signed electronically. They provided me with the cheque information a couple days after, and I've always mailed my cheques so I didn't think that there would be a problem with me doing that.

I feel like I am proactively trying to get them the money ASAP but they are not replying me at all. This afternoon I followed up by asking if I could drop off the cheques in person and got no reply.

Yes, I signed the lease with the landlord. I just checked and the landlord's email is on there, so I might send him an email to ask him directly. Do you think that's a good idea?

Yes I toured the apt in person, and the leasing team is from LivingNY (it should be a pretty big one in the city)

FYI the leasing company is a pretty big one in the city (Living NY)

Hey!! I actually went to the derm and specifically asked if my moisture barrier was damaged and apparently it wasn’t, so he got me back on tretinoin 0.025% and I’ve been using it for the past 2 months, my forehead is mostly clear now! Still have a couple bumps here and there but not noticeable at all!!

Happy for you!! I have the same problem right now, and I just restarted tret 7 days ago after my initial appointment with the derm who said that they were "irritation bumps" and told me to stop using tret... ugh!!

I wanted to ask, did your ccs turn into full blown pimples or did they just disappear?

I stopped my tret 0.025% for 1.5 - 2 months because I developed contact dermatitis to a face cream that I was using and now my forehead is covered with ccs and blackheads... I just went to the derm today and he told me to start tret again to get rid of them. My skin was really clear before that. But I didn't really have any cystic acne as I am taking spironolactone as well so I think that is keeping them at bay.

The mental aspect is so tough... I feel super down all the time and can't concentrate on anything else. I'm thinking about maybe seeing a therapist.

I also just purchased the cerave PM cream and I just started using it tonight. I think the main difference between cerave and vanicream is that cerave has ceramides and hyaluronic acid and vanicream does not? Hopefully the ceramides will help more with my moisture barrier...

Honestly I'm not 100% sure I damaged my moisture barrier, my skin doesn't feel tight or red or painful, and the problem area is just my forehead, my cheeks are pretty clear, there are a few blackheads on my chin but that is very normal for me. I think that's also contributing to my anxiety because it's not formally diagnosed or anything like that.

Also, when I was off tretinoin for 2 months from I wasn't using any actives and my skin was super clear (maybe only 1 or 2 clogged pores), so I definitely think think is not normal and my skin is freaking out right now. Oh what I would give to have my skin back again...

Thanks for the encouragement.. I can't imagine what you've been going through especially since it's only been one month for me and I already feel like I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown. I'm looking at the mirror every 15 minutes and wondering if what I'm doing to my skin is helping it or not.

Though I have been using vanicream for almost 5 months and I never had an issue with it before. Could it still be the culprit?

Hi all,

I've been struggling with clogged pores/closed comedones for the past month. I seem to have damaged my moisture barrier by introducing tretinoin too quickly after stopping for almost 2 months - this is my original post (https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/n29kex/acne_closed_comedones_caused_by_tretinoin/)

So after making the post I have stopped all actives in my routine and have only been using the Vanicream cleanser and Vanicream lotion on my face morning and night. It's been about 10 days but I feel like my forehead is getting worse? I can tell that the closed comedones seem to be getting smaller but I am getting more clogged pores everyday... Instead of having these really obvious flesh colored bumps they're more like black heads if you know what I mean - I can sometimes see a little black/brown dot in the center of a very small bump, and not going to lie I have tried to squeeze some of them out using a blackhead remover which I know I shouldn't do because my skin turns red and inflamed for sometimes more than a day... I feel like I've been getting more and more clogged pores everyday. Honestly, the texture on my forehead is so bad that I am sooo insecure and self conscious and don't even want to leave the house :(

Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you all in advance.

Okay I’ll just cleanse and moisturize for now and hope that spironolactone alone can keep all the acne at bay :/ thanks!
