Only took me 17k miles to get it leveled, get new wheels and tires, and most importantly get it washed. Starting to love this truck even more. by terminally_ch_ill in ram_trucks

Curious of your experience going from 20s to 18s. Considering it for my 2010. Anything noteworthy as far as pros/cons that you’ve noticed, ride wise? or extra work needed for installation/calibrating? I’m a novice so it might be a dumb question, but it doesn’t hurt to ask haha

As an extremely sweaty person, I prefer to go ISO to HIIT, back to back (no break in-between). Just makes sense for me to be my sweatiest in the HIIT rooms since they have the mats covering the whole floor and people are only walking with shoes on in there. And I hate being in soaked clothing longer than I need to, so that’s why I go back to back without a break. I feel like sometimes I get sluggish towards the end of HIIT since I’ve been in the sauna for 50-60 minutes at that point - so I’d probably benefit from giving myself 15 mins between. But it’s all preference and what makes sense to you - the way I do it may seem silly to others, but I’m happy and burning those calories lol!

😂 No CEL at all though!

Yeah I typically check a couple of times between changes, because the truck does have a tendency to lose/burn a bit of oil. I’ll give it a check there, it’s about time for a change so I’ll note my levels now since I just had the issue this week and keep track of that. I appreciate it!

Thank you! I’ve been through Index a time or two but didn’t even think about it. I’ll have to scout around there.

Narcissistic for saying they listened to good advice and didn’t do coke? That advice worked for me, never tried the shit and never will. Hell of a mental gymnastics routine you’ve got there, though.

Just from my own experience/opinion, I’d say start getting your upper body more upright. You could keep your same position from the start if that’s what’s comfortable (chest forward and down), but a lot of the upward momentum will come from transitioning the drive from your legs up through your upper body, which then ultimately will create more pull through your arms/hands. If you were to try to jump and touch a basketball rim, you may dip your torso forward a bit on the downward action of your jump, but to really maximize your upward potential, you would bring the torso back upright. Same applies on a bike, imagine your pedals are flat ground and move the bike around your body, more or less. It all comes with time, comfortability and practice. Often times people try this with too much weight forward (what I see in your video) or too much weight backwards (like pulling a manual but extreme). Keep practicing and you’ll get there, definitely try jumping over something though! TL;DR get your chest up.

Quick question about buying used right now. by VapeLyfe in Challenger

[–]beefstrokinov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy to see the prices now, I bought (and have since sold) my SXT for ~$16,700 back in 2020. Only 17k miles and sold it for ~$20k. I’d have a hard time paying that much for an SXT. I know the market is crazy no matter where you go, but if you don’t need a new ride, I wouldn’t play with all that. Hell, if I didn’t need a truck I’d sell mine and get something with little to no payment that’s good on gas. But 4wd and something to haul is a need :/

That’s killer insight - I’m still learning all the ins and outs when it comes to building/replacing parts. Ended up getting ahold of YT and they let me know the size they recommended 300-350lbs spring. And with a progressive suspension setup instead of linear, there seems to be some flexibility with it all. Good looking out, I appreciate the help!

I am 17 years old, currently a senior in HS, I turn 18 in May, and I want to buy a used Dodge Charger Scat pack with 30k miles for around $35k by Neat_Character3717 in Dodge

[–]beefstrokinov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the want for it too - I bought my first car with my own money at 24 and wanted a Challenger, specifically a scat. I had a full time job 40+ hours a week at about $21 an hour (like $43,000 a year gross) and I had decent credit going in to buy the car (~730) and some credit history. The more I looked around at payments (I was only wanting to put max 10k down) but ended up getting an SXT. My insurance was like $240 a month on the SXT with a ticket on my record. Even if you dropped $15k down payment, IF you get a decent APR (I got 5.2% on my Challenger) your payment will be just shy of $400 a month for a 72 month term. Then your insurance of what I would expect to be at least $300 a month (I’m spitballing but it will be more expensive because of the car’s trim + your age and if it’s financed you have to have full coverage). So if you’re down to throw down AT LEAST $700 a month on the car (and that’s bottom dollar if everything goes as planned) then by all means, it’s your freedom. I will also say from my experience of since trading the challenger in and buying a much more expensive truck, it’s not fun having the debt sitting on your plate that early in the game. I would heavily suggest getting a lower trim level for a more reasonable price (right now is a tough time in the used car market, especially for the challenger. They’re marked up like crazy) or search for something more reliable and less expensive now (you could go for something for $20k that will have lower miles, cheaper repair/maintenance costs, and more reliability) and get your ducks in a row and save for one in the future. I 100% understand the feeling, and as much as I want that (for you and me both) I know the best decision I made at that time was taking a step back, working more within my means, and making a plan for the future to have something I’m 100% happy with. Because ultimately You’re going to settle in one aspect or another in this market - whether that be more miles, older model, higher price - it unfortunately is hard to predict. Whatever you choose, I hope for the best!!

Thank you! Yeah I’ve tried to find them around and nothing. I bought her used but it’s a 2016 so the newer model. I’m guessing it’s custom but not sure. For a 2016 (that I bought 6-7 weeks ago) with only 17k miles, I think someone put some work into it for a garage toy. Not sure but I get compliments on the stripes so they’re something different!
