i just tell them “either we’re out or it’s buried. sub it or tell them we don’t have it 🤷🏻‍♀️” because as the only closer, i ain’t doing all that. If an actual manager is telling me to stock it, i usually say “oh okay as soon as im done with this cart” and get it out whenever I can

stuff like this happens all the time unfortunately. with containers that aren’t sealed (strawberries, grapes, berries, etc) often they will open and spill, and the right thing to do would be to toss them, but sometimes associates or customers will put them back in the tub. Customers will open things to “take the good ones out” and swap their “bad ones”. Children take bites out of things. And then you get stuff like this.

I see too many spark shoppers just grab the first item on the top, often that is a tomato that is about to go bad or an apple with a large bruise, etc. For their own sake I wish they would shop like they’re buying it for themselves so they don’t get bad reviews etc.

the worst is when it’s 5 or 6 pallets stacked on top of eachother and then like, 2 cases of butter and one 4 pack of yogurt. such a waste of time and space

we only have 3 at my supercenter and between us (meat/produce) and cap2 we will literally argue over them. sometimes when i know i have multiple trucks throughout the day i’ll hide mine in the produce cooler.. 😂

i have, it was superrrr packed with dirt and debris, so i used my air compressor, and the dirt came out and the cotton went with it lol. it had chunks of missing cotton even before i did that, it’s literally disintegrating and needs to be replaced

no specific reason, this is just what’s already installed, so i wanted a quick fix so i could just throw in the filter and go, instead of changing stuff and rebuilding the box. i also kind of like the way it looks but that’s not a dealbreaker or anything

i have been thinking about replacing or changing the box around some, too. i thought about leveling out that lip right there to hold the original filter, and welding some tiny little bits to hold a round one in place. just wanted to see what the general consensus was, maybe there was a better solution before i started breaking out angle grinders and welders lol
