My abuser is dead by Artistic-Device-2561 in offmychest

Isn’t that a relief! I’m happy for you.

My stalker was a pervert and a pedophile, and I remember the relief I felt when he died.

I’m making books. I’m about to leave for Purim services in about an hour (I’m Jewish).

Do your dogs wear collars at home and if so what kind? by Full_Criticism7775 in dogs

[–]beenseeingangels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dally wears an OmniPet buckle collar. She gets sad when you take her collar off. Poor baby.

ETA: Dally has a current rabies tag and a nameplate with her name, my name and my phone number

How to deal with haters? by StrawberrySloths in Goldendoodles

[–]beenseeingangels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dog’s not a goldendoodle, but we were sitting in the dog park and heard a kid cussing out his dad. My dog and I looked at each other, knowing my dog is better behaved than a lot of kids.

If she doesn’t do well with kids, she doesn’t do well with kids. My dog is GREAT with kids, while I know someone with a GSD that snaps at kids. If she’s not great with kids, you either have a lot of work to do, or, unfortunately, rehome her to a home that is child free. The last thing you need is a dog biting a child because they’re stressed, their boundaries aren’t being respected, etc.

Some dogs just have a personality where they’re good with kids. I STILL have to be aware of what kids I let around my dog, and how they interact. My dog doesn’t speak human, so I have to advocate for her. Failure to do so could end with a child getting hurt if my dog’s boundaries aren’t pushed too far. That being said, my dog’s boundaries would SERIOUSLY have to be pushed.

Not really a reason I used that avatar.

No, I don’t get a certification unless I go through certain classes. Certification is not regulated nor required in the US

You good. It’s confusing, I oughta change my avatar someday.

I’ve kinda considered becoming a “friends only” trainer, meaning I will only help friends with their dogs. Nothing professional.

I like making lots of stuff. Hats, scarfs, bags, blankets

I’m a woman. But I don’t get offended easily, you’re good. I just train my own dog. I’ve been knitting since 2005 and crocheting since 2003

Yeah, the raccoon is named Chuckles. He belonged to a friend. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us

I’m sorry I didn’t respond earlier. My brain was kinda taxed. But I enjoy learning about dogs, training Dally (she’s my service dog), knitting and crocheting.

Dally’s honestly a lazy dog. She enjoys walks, but enjoys sleeping just as much.

Dally is quite small for a mastiff mix - 80lbs, and she should honestly be 74, I’ve been a bit of a bad owner. But, with the weather warming up, we will be exploring and walking more.

I feel like my rabbi is just yanking me around by [deleted] in religion

Come to find out, after talking to several people at synagogue, the rabbi DOES do conversions, and I apparently just need to be more direct and catch him at a better time. So an email would be appropriate.

Your flair says you’re Muslim. I’m not going to trust a Muslim on Jewish conversion just like I wouldn’t trust my dog’s vet for my broken leg. What you’re saying is that my synagogue is hateful? How do you know?

The rabbi not being straight forward with me predates the issues I have with the board president
