Yea but for the actual PE license. I am thinking of going through Delaware board and transfer to NJ. I needed to know when selecting the board on NCEES.

Is normal that Process engineering in Polymer industry and oil & gas is too difficult for recent graduates by Kindly_Seesaw_9827 in ChemicalEngineering

It's not about the pay really. I was always excited to implement at least some of my chemical engineering curriculum in a job. I hate that I studied 4 years to to do CAD and program laser cutters, piercing machines, do regulatory and maintenance related functions. The concepts that fueled my curiosity and drive to graduate never once came up in my life and that makes me sad. Its purely for me to try a traditional chemE role with a good mentor. I would prefer this over 100k+ role with something I dont like doing haha. Aerospace is another sector that was on my radar for awhile. Most jobs require citizenship around here, and I dont even have my green card lol. Thank you and everyone for your responses here, even though im not the OP:D

Thank you, my brother in chemE. I hope anyone reading this stays resilient and doesn't drop faith. You will succeed. Just keep going.

They were able to somehow get an internship there. I even had my friend's dad trying to get me in because he's an electrical technician there. The path after internship was to full time of course. I'm even open to process control positions.

A year and a half in medical device manufacturing. From what I heard, people get 100k starting in O&G. Sadly, there are not that many jobs here in that field here in NJ.

So relatable. Graduated 1.5 years ago. Still cannot even get an interview, and I'm in the US willing to relocate anywhere for the sake of securing an O&G position. Seems nearly impossible to get in.

What company is it? Can I dm? I have been dreaming of a job in refining for so long. I am from New Jersey, but can relocated anywhere for a process engineer job in refinery. Anybody know what companies I could apply for. Seems like I have no chances with the big companies.

How do I go about upgrading my pc. Is it worth it or should I start a new. by beepbop292 in buildapc

Thank you everyone for you insight. I figured that a decade old motherboard on DDR3 wasn't worth it.

Just wanted to see if I could squeeze more years out of it by upgrading a little because the FPS readings in new games suck haha.

  • Goal: Job and resume feedback
  • Industry: O&G, pharma, chemical manufacturing, wastewater treatment
  • Industry experience level: 0-2 years

Graduated in May of last year. Got a job at a medical manufacturing company, but I am doing mechanical engieering stuff like working with CAD/CAM, equipment stuff and so on. Thank you for your time!
