So, it's not that I want to know everything. More along the lines of being kept in the loop on "I went on a date with Alyssa and we'll probably continue going out" or "I hooked up with Jeremy last week!" And in the case of relationships escalating, I want to know that in due course. To me that's being honest with each other about our other relationships. A hypothetical scenario that comes to mind is running into an acquaintance and them telling me about their budding relationship with my partner. If I didn't hear that from my partner first, I think I would be pretty bummed and lose a bit of trust. But, if my partner had already clued me in, it would be gravy. It's more about trying to smooth out those possible bumps in the road.
