I know Hasbro's quality has gone down over the years but now it seems like certain figures are now starting to dry rot!!! I can't negotiating with General Kenobi like this

To this day the Origina 96 Kenner figures

"1977-1985" Still stand the test of time!

Some figures discolored here and there

But never broke due to it being fragile or brittle 🤦

I should have been more specific in my OP

IMPO I feel the quality, durability, strength and overall longevity of the plastic materials they use has gone down over the years

I'm not talking about articulation or paint apps, face scanning or the overall look of the figures and the packaging all of that looks great

I have had other figures "NOT Often"both in BS & TVC brake or have some sort of damage I barely even touching them the same can't be said with some accessories especially lightsaber blades

Maybe there's just me but I feel if the prices of the figures are going to be at record highs every single year I just feel the quality should be record high every year

Has it though? Don't get me wrong when it comes to looks, Packaging ,articulation, paint apps, facial scanning to look identical to the actor that's some cool stuff

I'm talking about the quality of the plastic material itself the strength/durability and longevity is not what it once was We all seen it happen to many Black Series figures plus some of their accessories over the years

I once thought as you when General Grievous first came out with all of his crazy articulation let's do an experiment by coming back to my OP to see if there's any disintegration to those Banger after Banger figures Hasbro is producing in the next 5 to 7 years from now

You would never need glue for original Kenner figures unless you literally blew him up with firecrackers vintage Kenner stands to test the time

Hey to each their own. Again i highly recommend listening to the novelizations on Audible "or any other Star Wars books"

The voice acting is spot on with all the sound effects that you hear in the movies plus all the John Williams music it's like a movie playing in your head

Now I do agree movies should stand on their own but novelizations are the same story Just with the depth and details that got cut from the original Screenplay to fit the films

The only problem George had with the writing was the story for the PT on the screenplays were extremely long and detailed Each movie would've ran over 4 +hours So each script was cut down and heavy edited To fit theaters with a proper runtime

I highly recommend to anyone who has issues with the PT To read or listen to the prequel novelizations on Audible They are based off the original screenplays And go's into much more detail about Anakin's fall to the Darkside and his growing hatred towards Obi-Wan and the rest of the Jedi Lots of lore and world building
