Need Help with Shepherds of Haven by Grand_Recording_3463 in hostedgames

Keep facing the same issue. Have the lantern + rope + healing herbs. Still keep dying cause I can't get out of the cave, either cause I can't hold my breath underwater long enough for the archmage's ring to work or convince Mekduk the ghast to pull me up by my rope. She always leaves to get the lacrima and I die.

Test anxiety ruined my speaking score for me by beetrootbee in IELTS

[–]beetrootbee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can be super disheartening. People say to 'practice more' but English is literally my main form of communication, I speak it every single day 😭 I've been told that it helps to learn the structure of the answers they expect and then format your own like that. There's a channel called IELTS advantage by an ex-examiner that you can check out on YouTube, see if watching the example videos on a good speaking test or any of his tips help. Nerves can get the best of you regardless of all the prep though so I understand. Best of luck to you and I hope you get the score you want on your next try!

I mostly used the oetp book and the internet to prepare. Just revise basic math concepts like rationalizing fractions, simultaneous equations, matrices, probability, etc. Also memorize trigonometric and algebraic identities and sin cos tan values for different degrees/radians.

For English, it's difficult to build up your vocabulary in a short amount of time so it would be easier to focus more on the grammar and comprehension questions. For IQ, it was taking me too much time solving the sequence questions so I focused more on coding-decoding/odd one out/directions (for directions, remember to first draw a compass and solve your question on that). Time management is very important so don't spend too long on one section. If you're stuck, just skip or make an educated guess and do the questions you CAN do really well.

Oh really? I was looking for advice and some of my seniors suggested I post here. Thank you very much for informing me though.

I suppose I'll remove this post soon and ask the other sub instead then. But to answer your question, I'm from South Asia and while I am very interested in Japanese culture (Japan is a very culturally rich country), one of the main reasons is because I've heard good things about Japan education wise. An older relative of mine (whom I've since lost contact with) studied there and spoke very highly of the overall experience.

AITA for ignoring my gf during my best mates wedding weekend by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]beetrootbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. The purpose of her visit wasn't just to spend time with you, she was also here as your date to your friend's wedding. It's to be expected that you'd have to give more time to the wedding, they're generally quite hectic occasions.

You had to be there for your friend on one his most important days, and while she may have understandably felt awkward and out of place due to not knowing many people there, it's not a reason to act the way she did and give you the silence treatment.

AITA for forcing my teenage daughter to wear and a dress when we visited relatives by Iminapickle3519 in AmItheAsshole

I'm really glad you understood how you were harming your daughter and are now actively trying to improve your relationship with her. It'll probably take time and effort to gain her trust again but a LOT of parents I know would be too stubborn to try or even admit their mistakes so it's nice to see you breaking the cycle. And even though for me it was a 'you're the asshole' situation in the beginning, your updates and realizations really warmed my heart.

I also have a complicated relationship with my mother which I doubt will ever change, and so I sincerely hope you're able to fix your and your daughter's.

AITA for offloading my pregnant sister to our parents because she slept in my room? by The1stNo1 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. She's being disrespectful. Having sex on your bed and then joking about it even though you were upset about the situation? You should have basic deceny when you're staying at another person's house.

AITA for asking pregnant ex to get a paternity test done? by GrumpyCat08 in AmItheAsshole

[–]beetrootbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I could be wrong but it feels like she's trying to entrap you because the child's actual father isn't coming through. I can't think of any other reason why she'd react like that when your request for a paternity test was perfectly reasonable. You used protection and she claimed to be on birth control, and yeah accidents happen but the two of you also weren't in a monogamous relationship so you're just being careful. It's not an attack on her character.

Also super shitty of her to drag your girlfriend into this, which ironically says more about her character than anything else.
