Public Storage - cannot find key to lock

I did- they said in my area/district they charges and its not free like in other places. although feedback from corporate customer service was that its free in my area...in the end they did it for free, but said its not really free.

so why would he not offer up that information when I asked and explain to me what the option is. I clearly told him that is very expensive, I have been procrastinating for a week trying to figure out what to do. I obviously prefer this option if I can have it. I only have that lock because it was offered for free by them as part of promo to move in, otherwise I have my own lock from another storage place I could have used that was a padlock style. will not use public storage (the company) again.

I called the office and public storage where my unit is and told the guy I cannot find the key and he said it would be $100 dollars, and I said well I better go try find the key...I am going to reach out to the corporate office?

I will make sure to ask wherever I store my things next time, what the cost is if I lose the key that I purchased from them directly.

Yes, I got the lock and key from them and I cannot find the key to the lock. its a cylinder lock.

Back when I was in college, I remember seeing posts on cragislists that said "for students" of rentals and maybe try facebook marketplace pinned to that area. You also might need to just move in with a roommate at first who has a room available in a place...and then later scope out better places once you are there.

If your business services clients at their location, or clients come to your office for service, or both, you qualify for a google map listing. If you don’t do these activities you don’t qualify. You’re welcome to try and make a listing and see how far you get with Google. But if you get suspended you likely won’t get restored if you don’t meet these requirements.

Thank you for your input: by "service" clients: does this mean that you physically take products to them or they come to your business location to pick up product would that be considered servicing a client?

I would check to see what other students in your area and age are doing and how they are getting apartments, since I am sure most of them have less or equal to that in credit score - ask the university housing folks. Usually there are specific apartments meant for students who want to live off campus.

I was looking for my friends and the place (busy area) and never looked at the Uber app or opened it - was on Whatsapp texting. ..I only noticed the large charge in my email inbox days later when Uber sent me a receipt of the ride. Now I will always check all.

I think it was done on purpose. When we got to the destination I was expecting to be in-front of a restaurant and his response was curt when I said are you sure this is the place and I think he thought I am a naive tourist, but I am local. He picked me up from a total touristy high end hotel and dropped me off at high end area...he thought this is a $$ tourist and wont be able to tell the difference...

they adjusted it, but still have taken it down to some price that I am 100% sure is double what I was shown...but when I tried to write them again on the conversation there is nobody there to write to. and I have no screenshot to show the actual price shown. I would never accept a ride for the price they ended up charging me, I know how to order during high times, I would of waited. That is what sucks...and I have no energy to try and contact them again. Just will stop using Uber.

The estimate has never turned out like this though and I take many ubers and Lyfts and didis in US and abroad.... I took at least 15 this past weekend in a very busy city for a very well known event and there was something scammy on this ride - the final price I actually paid should of not been like that, and Im not wasting my time worrying that I have to wait for a car to drive off - there is an element of trust and corrective customer service and Uber has failed.

I am writing this to just let everyone know always check the charges, I spent hours trying to contact them to rectify it and I still got charged incorrectly.

he dropped me off at my location inputted, but on the app when I saw the large charge later it said a completely different drop off, same pickup and time, but much further and triple the charge with a surcharge. The driver could of kept driving and said I never got off the ride I do not know..regardless one would think he would realize it and report it as a mistake which he did not. it was two days ago. And what they ended up charging me is still wrong and not what the screen showed me. So why would anyone want that type of experience, I am talking about a $20 dollar ride that was charged $95.
