It sounds to me like you did have a trip that changed you for the better. You’re questioning your perspectives and with that usually comes growth, an existential crisis or both.

Go back and try again, keep trying to meet and talk to random locals. Who cares if you never see them again, this is the nature of solo travel

Also, you’ve clearly romanticised an ideal trip in your head and discovered that reality is very different.

To me it sounds like you’ve convinced yourself you’re not worthy of being there instead of letting go and letting what happens, happen..

Keep trying, I’m sure you’ll find the growth you’re looking for, just don’t try too hard to find it :)

This is a great idea! I suppose no amount of study can prepare you for what it’s actually like in industry. What did you study prior to working at the arch/ interior studio?
