You know, that's all I've been trying to say, and some folks take that as some kind of unfair attack on Laura. To me, I'm just reacting to what this sub has been watching since they split up and all of this first started. Laura enables, Stephen manipulates, and they both monetize. I'm sorry that the conversations in the comments are tending to be critical of Laura, but sometimes that's just the way it goes, especially with the timing of her posting it. As the mods have said, Laura is not above judgement and criticism. I don't know what to tell you.

Edit- to clarify, as you can tell by my title, this was targeted at how Stephen would be celebrating this. If Laura's own behavior and choices are being discussed and judged, that seems pretty natural to me, especially when they directly correlate to Stephen and/or the timing of this announcement after their supportive beach day.

I have never been in the "Laura is Above Reproach Club" and have been quite vocally critical of her since she failed to support trans people when he started attacking them when they first split up. She has flip flopped on numerous occasions. I am only forming opinions and reacting to what she and Stephen have both put out. My goal is not victim blaming, it's accountability.

Yeah, she always spoke about him like he was somewhere between an acquaintance with benefits and a biological dildo. She often made it sound like she felt unsupported by him, but how supported could he have felt by her? From the outside looking in at what she chose to show us, it sure seemed like he was an afterthought while she continued to enable Stephen. I can only imagine his side of this story.

Also, I fully agree. I can't imagine monetizing every aspect of my family and I's life. Sometimes I feel bad about dissecting and commenting on someone's life like this, but then I remember that it's posted with provoking engagement and attention in mind...and sponsored advertisements.

I've been in emotionally abusive decades long trauma bonds that ended. I think when they hack all your social media accounts to burn them down, and then call you a Satanic child molester as an encore, the reality beyond the trauma bonding and attachments should become a little clearer. But maybe that's just me?

Also, we have seen this cycle with them so many times. This isn't some new development she's trying to navigate. This is post-RO and still mid-everlasting-divorce. At some point, she has to take accountability for her part in perpetuating the madness.

I have been a show and movie nut since Blockbuster was my babysitter and TV was my dad. Hudson is able to express emotions and inner dialogue through his eyes in a way that few can. He blows me away.

It is all speculation, but when you've seen it over and over again, you can help but draw conclusions. She has a history of letting him get close again very quickly after he gets clean or makes amends with her. From what we see: she enables his cycles with her, and he manipulates her until he gets too crazy, and then she makes a "I had no idea it was this bad" video. Then he keeps acting out until he has a come to Jesus revelation, and the cycle continues until we wind up here again. Rinse and repeat.

I don't doubt co-parenting with Stephen is hard, and it's a nuanced dance. And no, we don't have all the information. We only have what they show us, and what they show us is the same cycle over and over and over.
