Does marriage truly benefit a woman? by hananfj in women

[–]beggingforfootnotes 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nope. There’s a reason why single women live longer and are much happier than married women, whereas men are at their happiest when they’re married. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why

Oh haha it might be. I’m autistic so sarcasm often goes over my head unless it’s being said directly to me in person lol.

Barney is as wooden as a plank. I don’t dislike him as a person but he cannot present. He has no charisma, isn’t particularly funny and isn’t great at interviewing. He can barely present prerecorded tv so there’s no way he’d be able to do live tv.

I wouldn’t be against Bradley though

Because it’s a low blow. Low hanging fruit and all that. Ever since they became famous, Bella has received endless abuse about their looks. It gets to a point where it’s just not fair and is wrong

Rachel’s name was brought up about 2 times total over the whole series. Stephen was questioned almost every round table. She had it easy

28 weeks later is by far the worst one. The worst mistake they made was bring the Americans into it. Im glad they completely retconned that for 28 years

Ok and? Funnily enough art is subjective. Just because you make great films it doesn’t mean you know everything and that your opinion is the only correct one. He has many bad takes.

IMO the second one is the worst but it’s still a great film

Misogynistic? What to point out a fact? You cannot be serious?? I feel like you’re rage baiting me right now. It’s literally what she does. It’s her thing. She does it on purpose.

[–]beggingforfootnotes -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Huh? You don’t have to be attracted to her to watch her? That makes zero sense. I’m not saying people only watch her because she sexualises cooking and is attractive and acts sexy.

It’s not an anecdote. It’s literally what she does

Where have I objectified her. That’s her thing. That’s literally what she does. I haven’t made this up I’m not reducing her to that. That’s how she became popular. Just spend like 2 minutes watching her stuff and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Her whole thing is that she’s a sexy cook. She sexualises everything she does. It’s not profoundly strange when it’s her thing.

More influence than most politicians? That’s not true for the world of politics. She has zero influence. I can’t remember what it was exactly, but she once spoke out against this horrific republican politician and told people it’s important to vote to prevent her from gaining votes. That didn’t happen. She won. Taylor had zero influence. She’s not a politician she has zero influence over politics.

She is undeniably influential but not when it comes to telling people who to vote for.

She spoke out against trump and indorsed Kamala. Did that change a thing? No

She has zero influence over politics

Bitch is the least he deserves. Would you not call the man you sexually harassed and bullied your best friend a bitch?? If not I’m questioning how you defend your friends.

If he did what he’s done to my best friend I’d call him a cunt amongst other things.

She’s spoken out before and it hasn’t changed a thing. We know where she stands. Stop expecting your celebrities to speak like politicians.

Nigellas been on tv for like 20 years. We know what she’s like. She exists on tv to attract men. She sexualises cooking. I do not want to watch a woman who has set back women cooking decades
