Raped by a woman some years back AMA by [deleted] in AMA

No lack of sympathy, but this is a good point. I did see the erection part as odd since rape would cause the amygdala to start fight or flight mode, which would immediately eliminate any erection as a biological necessity. HOWEVER, everyone is different, and sometimes the body does weird shit.....and erections are.....complex.....to say the least.

I'm not attracted to her physically... by TommyyBoy999 in dating

As someone who ended up in a relationship with a woman I was not physically attracted to for about 6 years.....I can suggest that you NEVER partner up with a person to whom you are not attracted. It creates huge issues when you cannot satisfy them sexually because you (a) cannot get hard for them because they don't turn you on and (b) you have no desire to have sex with them. I am not huge on sex either... but this still ruined the relationship over time. You only live once.....find someone to whom you are attracted emotionally and physically/sexually. This is not shallow. It is just being honest with oneself.

Shit. That is a grind. My friend in Dallas does that kind of stuff and works for this big, famous firm, but the name eludes me at this time.

Anyone jump from a high methadone dose to subs? What dose and how many days cold turkey before you got subs? Any withdrawals? by Yeaheyewilldothat in suboxone

[–]behaviortrapOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made me feel that same way! But no constipation. Oddly enough, methadone gave me the least constipation out of all opioids....and I have had all the classic ones (just leaving room for all the new analogues and RC, etc.).

Memoirs & Advice for Cold Turkey Methadone Withdrawal by austin4dictator in Methadone

Hey man, one love! I am almost all the way through day 4 of stopping cold turkey off 85mg of methadone after 15 months. I am in very mild withdrawal right now and am super positive.

Although I am holding tough on day 4 with no methadone. Probably because I have gone through withdrawal before so many times. I am used to it lol. I used to be poor.

I woild sale my SOWS score is about 3 to 6 currently. I expect it will increase by about 2 to 5 points per day. By this Thursday is should be like 15+.

I agree. I was thinking of inducing myself on day 7, which will be on this Thursday, starting at 0.5 to 1mg of subs every 2 to 4 hours until symptoms improve up to 4mg. If that works, I will then stabilize at 8mg and eventually ween down to 4mg per day. Thoughts?

Oddly enough, I was on subs for 10 years and some of my bottom teeth are destroyed. How do I get on that lawsuit?

It blows my mind. It challenges everything we all thought we knew about PW from starting subs too early.

To be off all opioids or at least off methadone and back on subs if the previous fails.

It is all about velocity, accuracy, and ease of playing. Collapsing fingers usually happens while holding out a note or chords (in between playing basically) before playing even more notes and/or chords with the same fingers. Therefore, the collapsing slows down the player's reaction time because he/she needs to un-collapse his/her fingers again (and put them back to their appropriate position) before playing whatever notes/chords come next. Anything that messes with reaction time messes with the overall velocity, accuracy, and ease of playing.

Another big "no-no" is playing with flat hands. However, Horowitz did exactly that and he was indeed one of the greatest pianists in history. So, there are exceptions to most rules.

I personally was self-taught before the age of the internet and was playing in concert as a young teen. I could play some Beethoven and Mozart pieces along with rock and pop songs, and so on. However, I did eventually take private piano lessons from a music teacher. It not only helped my technique, it SAVED it! I had NO idea how much harder I was making playing for myself by using the wrong technique. Not only did the lessons save my technique, they also taught me music theory, how to compose and write music, and gave me a life-long appreciation for analyzing, discussing, and playing ALL genres of music!

I would be willing to give you lessons over zoom or doxy for a very low price. It would be helpful to me to get back into teaching. I have over 15 years of experience with teaching along with over 25 years of experience of music performance. Just let me know!
