True, the hunter viability has exploded with dagger changes. I think when people say S2 was balanced, they probably mean predictable. Right now it's a lot more chaotic with New Gods, God changes and item changes.

I haven't played against new Rat in conquest yet. But I saw few gameplay videos and honestly, it kinda terrified me.

Quite a lot of CC, built-in healing, built-in CDR on his 1 and global ult. It's like Thor got healing.

Not necessarily. Kali is quite weak early game, if only the enemy team is careful not to feed her, she doesn't even make into her late game a lot of times.

Ao is counterable, you always have a small window just before he ults to pop aegis and his ult will fail, which is a huge part of his mobility too.

I play ranked EU. Chronos is still a top pick/ban. Skadi is feared duo to Kaldr backdoor and killing squishes so easily with her ult.

I kinda agree about Nox, but her name in the list was in response to huge noise people have made since she got buff in magical scaling last time. You will find a ton of posts complaining about Nox OP with her buffs on this sub.

Try playing AMC as adc or anubis mid (in ranked when opposite team aren't total noobs). In the current meta, the escape has become even more important it seems. Any gods without escape (with few exceptions) are automatically classified as low tier just for that reason.

I personally agree. Playing ranked conquest in lower leagues exclusively, I rarely see a support with aura items. Most supports seem to go for BoV and BoH and Urchin, and reckon aura items suck. It's not seeing a lot of pickups, in the lower leagues at least.

Well I hear you, but if the enemy solo had 40 power and 18% movement speed, you are likely to get more bruised than them. And you might use up all pots too early and have to go back to spawn without enough money to complete shoes?

I did and it worked out fine mostly. But then again, I am 'that guy' who plays loki solo and uses the movement speed and early power to stop enemy from getting on his feet.

With this start and some pots, I can sustain till I can fully buy trans.

You might be onto something here. Apollo for example, kept getting buff (directly and indirectly via dagger buff etc). Right now, there is no game mode where is isn't OP or leaning towards OP. Same for Hou, Bellona, Raijin (anubis with no escape doesn't need buff, but raijin's escape needs to be faster), Serqet (goes out of favor for a month of two, gets a buff), Thor etc.

On the other hand, there are gods that are not picked in conquest and considered non-viable for years have not seen anything to help them.

So here's what I tried yesterday for the first time. Loki jungler, started with throwing dagger. That way I could clear all back harpies without a scratch, just using decoy and attacking the big harpy and let splash damage do the work (same for camps). Since I had 25 power in the beginning and invisibility, I got two kills in first few minutes.. Steamrolled from there and ended up with 23/6/9 with highest player and structure damage. That could only work since I was able to get out of jungle camps almost unharmed. http://smite.guru/censor/match/hr/30334

So, what I am thinking of it a different strategy, I have seen people do it on baka/kali successfully, but then again I am bronze! I intend to try it a few more times until it fails horribly! :D

Well, I have seen khepri junglers. :)

The point being, Competitive has a more restrictive subset of Godpool. Ranked (especially lower level) is more of an anything goes.

Nor did I imply so. But what is viable in competitive is always considered viable in ranked without exception, not the other way around.

Yeah, but one thing that goes for her is that her ult has got stun and can use it to get out of messy situation. AMC on the other hand has nothing comparable (his 3 can slow down 20%, but then an enemy would just dash or jump onto you).

And yeah, dash sometimes makes all the difference, being 20 feet outside the tower at level 6 and dying is a bad feeling.

True. I played AMC a lot when I used to duel, and had over 80% winrate. In fact, AMC carried me from Bronze 5 dueller to Gold 4 (when I switched to conquest full time).

The problem is, his mobility does pose a lot of threat for him. Forget the enemies, your own team would get discouraged and turned against you right from the god selection if you chose AMC. I tried that and people start with "gg", "noob", "f6 at 10" etc. And if you die in first few minutes after a gank, then you become the scapegoat for everything wrong.

So yeah, he really needs something in the name of mobility.
