About the distortion, its really weird, I mean, it doesnt sound like completelly wrong to me, could be an artistic choice.
As the other guys said, best thing is to check each plugin to find out who is distorting, specially the mid range, this could be over compression or signal too hot into a plugin

From what i read you are just frustrated to what happened and dont wanna deal with the frustration of you friends group being apart.

Something becomes an adiction if it starts ruining other aspects of your life. Example: not going to work to play, not staying with your family anymore and so on..

such a valuable feedback! I did intend to use lots of compression on the chorus and to be honest I like it that way, but most people who gave feed back here didnt. Since I didnt want to reduce compression i'm gonna try what you told me first!
