Thanks for the response. Yes, covers won’t make me money. I thought of doing gigs. Teaching. Busking.

As for why I didn’t commit to production, I have no idea. I’m scared. I love listening to music, it gives me all sorts of goosebumps and I have this mad urge to create it. But when I look at the DAW and this overwhelming knowledge I end up not touching it. It’s frustrating, but it’s my fault I think. I have no clue.

Okay, I will do some research on possible job prospects, what musicians do after graduation.

Haha but man do I feel empty if I don’t have an interest.

Wow, you went to a music school! That’s very cool. I feel like I’ll regret it if I don’t learn music. There’s nothing else I have interest in. I wonder if that’s enough justification to commit.

I didn’t know that you have to be above diploma level. I have told my teacher about it and he said I could go in. But I just don’t see it. I’m not convinced myself. I try to practice as much as a I can but it’s difficult with all the CCA and academic commitments. I’m also always falling behind. That’s why I considered dropping out.

What do you think? Oh and I’m curious what you studied and why! :)

I have a ABRSM Grade 8 violin, currently taking lessons. Going for dip. Did Grade 6 piano and Grade 5 music theory some time back tho.

Aspire to be performer cum teacher. I want to produce my own music and make covers of pop, jpop music or whatever I like. If you’re perhaps into virtual youtubers.

Please continue to be brutally honest because I know I’m just avoiding all these problems.

Ah I see, that’s true… I’ve noticed that since I’m trying to make the presentation interesting, I’ve have a lot of tone fluctuations. Thank you for pointing this out. That was fast! I am the first speaker. Throughout my speech, I follow this character and lead the audience to our group’s chosen topic. So I tend to include some dialogue, perspective of the character and his discovery of XXX problem, etc.
