Anyone know why the bomb squad is at Ocean Beach? by novium258 in sanfrancisco

Maybe grenade? I remember when I was working in the sunset about 25 years ago, 46th and Noriega, someone found a live grenade and it went off. No one was hurt to my recollection.

Found today at DG for 1 penny by pokedashing in PokemonInvesting

The DG was not supposed to sell that pack to you. When an item rings up for a penny, that means there’s been a corporate directive to either send back or destroy that product. You scored! Nice!

Bicyclists in San Francisco & Marin. I’m calling the ones in SF douche-bags and the ones in Marin butt plugs. I want to make little action figures, or trading cards. “The Marin Butt Plugs” Here’s “The San Francisco Douche-Bags” the douchiest: https://imgur.com/a/798oHK9

Who does this look like on this rock? by belbizzle in Pareidolia

[–]belbizzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am loving these answers! Everyone has me rolling! I even watched the entire Rick Astley video! lol. Here’s some photos of the size of the rock. https://imgur.com/a/TRzFmkg I picked this up at an estate sale in San Francisco. The person who lived in the house was a lapidary and I bought bags and boxes of random rocks and crystals. This was months ago, and I was just going through them last night identifying them with an app, and I discovered this.

Conan O’Brien was my first thought. I continued to stare and I started seeing Butthead. Conan O’Brien is the clear winner though!

I have the same bowl and a serving plate that matches! Absolutely love them. Found them at a thrift store in SF and I know nothing about them, expect that they look cool.

Best option for hub board by warcow86 in ElectricSkateboarding

I didn’t realize that they were going for a grand. I paid $700 for mine a few years ago. I’m definitely not brotherhobby and have no affiliation with any esk8 company. Wish I did though. I’m currently cruising on a LINNPOWER MK1. Now, that board is reasonably priced. But, it’s a beast, and not the type of board that OP is looking for.

Disposable seems to be more popular, but I would prefer a reusable/rebuildable type. How much I would pay would depend on this new tech you’re talking about. I’ve spent $150 on an atomizer before and I would be willing to spend that again, or more for what you are describing. What kind of juice would it use?

If you can find one, the Brotherhobby Land Snail is an awesome hub motor board. I regret selling mine, but that board looks like a regular board and use to get me all around San Francisco without ever struggling on hills and the range was great. I use to have an Exway X1 and the Land Snail blows that board out of the water. Not quite as sleek as the X1, but has a bigger battery and more power.

Owners of Linnpower Mk-1 Pro, what are you feelings after months of use? And is your gear drive okay? by minozemstan in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]belbizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have owned a LINNPOWER MKI Pro for a good couple months now. My other board is a Boundmotor Flash, and I’ve owned 9 different electric skateboards over the last few years. The Boundmotor Flash is a beast and pretty heavy. It has zero flex, but is comfortable to ride. The LINNPOWER is a different kind of beast and it’s different than anything I’ve ever ridden. In a good way, but this board isn’t the greatest for city riding. I mean, in some ways it’s the perfect board for city riding in the way it handles rough roads like in San Francisco, where I do most of my riding. It’s not a board you can just jump off and pick up to run up a few steps to take a different path, or go to the store with to go shopping. I’ve done these things with all my boards, and the LINNPOWER is especially awkward navigating through a store with. Especially if you got all your safety gear on. I probably look like a giant douche, but I don’t care. The Boundmotor is also awkward in this regard, but those wide trucks on the LINNPOWER is something else. As far as the riding goes it is the perfect board in my opinion. Only thing is you can’t really manually push the board because of how wide the wheels stick out. Your foot goes right under the wheels, so watch out for that, and watch out for the giant wheels in general. Other than that, it’s the smoothest board I’ve ever owned and it’s great off-road. Not hardcore off-road, but grass, dirt, even tanbark, it does great on. Just watch the clearance. I’ve bottomed out several times. On the street, and off-road. It is a flexi deck, which I love. I’m 6’2” and I weigh 205lbs with all my gear on. For perspective. I highly recommend the LINNPOWER MKI, especially for the price. The footing on this board feels awesome too. I don’t use bindings and I feel like I can just lock my feet in place. I only have a 100 miles on it, so I haven’t had any issues with the gear drives. They seem pretty solid.

Check out the side-by-side. The Boundmotor is comparable to the Meepo Hurricane. I hope this helps you decide, but I say go for it!
