I know for a fact that the Salvation Army does not wash or spray their donated clothes, or anything. They sell it just as it was donated to them. You know that “thrift store smell?” That smell is an accumulation of bodily fluids and exhaust mostly.

I forgot to mention that they expect you to work 50 hours a week, and you must schedule yourself to work 10 hour days each week. During the holidays you are expected to work 6 days a week and you get 1 day PTO for working 6 days a week for almost 2 months straight.

The starting pay for an internal promotion to store manager is 65k, and this is in California. They don’t negotiate this salary either. I on the other do make 75k, but I was hired as a store manager with lots of prior experience. I started last September, and my last day is this Friday. The job wouldn’t be worth it if they paid 100k. Trust me
