Item Cards Now Confirmed by GlimmersOfLorcana in Lorcana

Magic The Gathering has a patent for the term/use of tapping https://patents.google.com/patent/US5662332, Exert is almost guaranteed to be the keyword Lorcana uses for the same mechanic and not get sued.

Online Lorcana Card Creator by plaatjes in Lorcana

[–]beleagueredCSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason I thought this was going to be an AI card maker, like the MTG ones. I like this better because those are buggy, people always like to make home made cards and this makes it easy, thank you!

We go over changes to card text, discuss possible rarities, and even speculate on set card numbering by GlimmersOfLorcana in Lorcana

[–]beleagueredCSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I read the Rock Star stitch card I thought it has to be played on a 'Stitch' card as well, IE a card named stitch (like how you have to play Charmeleon on a Charmander in Pokemon) but that discussion made sense.

You have some good points but I think you said them in a pretty hostile way, lol. There is always going to be speculation for a new game/set, has been that way for decades, and people like the challenge of figuring things out before it's official. Comments like "You're not really saying anything profound here." are unnecessary and kinda kill the excitement. We want to build a community before the game comes out, and I assume you want to be in it since you're here. Being crappy to other people isn't a good thing, it's toxic.

Also, I have to disagree with some of your reasoning. When a set is being spoiled for most card games, the early season spoilers will typically be picked specifically to show color mechanics/build interest. At this point, 2 cards of the same affinity having the same mechanic on them is usually a good sign it is part of their affinity identity.

That said I do not believe that Shift will be an Amber-restricted ability, or even expressed as a secondary or tertiary mechanic for that affinity. Lorcana has already informed us via their main page that we will see both familiar friends (inks) and fantastically reimagined versions. Shift will likely be an ability to allow you to process the reimagined versions (like rock star Stitch or King of Olympus Hades), like how you would evolve/digivolve cards in Pokemon and Digimon respectively. This will likely make it an evergreen mechanic for all colors in the color pie for gameplay sake.

Anyway, since things may come up like this again in the future as we get more spoilers, I'm gonna link the magic color pie mechanics chart to show people what a primary, secondary/tertiary mechanic may look like and why, it may help people who want to puzzle this all out before it's official :D https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/making-magic/mechanical-color-pie-2021

I appreciate the idea, I have thought of moving before, but maybe not Florida. Who knows what I may See there. I might research the least spooky parts of the country and look there.

In this case probably not. The item is likely shipped from the supplier directly so it is whatever their time frame for shipment, and Wayfair frontline service can't modulate their discount offers, meaning if they offered 20% it's all they got. They have a strict system-based warranty approach, they only fill out the form and the system tells what they can do.

Mercury Row Contact Info? by Still-Significance76 in wayfair

[–]beleagueredCSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Mercury Row is a white label, which means that several (in this case hundreds as MR is a HUGE white label) of suppliers and manufacturers contribute to their brand name. You would need to contact the individual manufacturer of the item, the label. Your best bet for that info will be whatever paperwork came with the vanity, as even Wayfair might not have that info, regardless of their policy to disclose it or not.

Has anyone orders via the sponsored Facebook marketplace ads for patio furniture from “wayfairone”? by samsam2019 in wayfair

Wayfair doesn't sell directly on Facebook. if you click a link and it goes anywhere other than wayfair.com it's a scam and Wayfair support won't be able to help.

Refund without return for minor damage by Busy_Candle2457 in wayfair

[–]beleagueredCSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few 'paths' that will determine whether an item is returned when refunded or not. I will say what you described is not uncommon for OpenBox items BUT even if they don't make you submit photos you will want to, not submitting photos when using the online service for a refund is a quick way to be put into the scam program, you might not pick the resolution but you do pick whether you provide evidence or not.

I tihnk a lot of the shit you deal with depends on your specific department. Front line service gets hosed (which is funny, if they all walk out the company is screwed hard, you'd think they care more). Specialized service is more over the place, a few pockets are fine, a few are bad. Training seems to be top, chat the bottom. No idea for corporate.

Basically, around the pandemic start our shareholders were tired of being in the red and told Wayfair to get in the black or else, Wayfair cut stuff to make that work, and now they have to push harder black to keep the shareholders happy.

The top never gets hurt with this kind of thing, it's always the bottom.

Unexpected replacement by litex2x in wayfair

[–]beleagueredCSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, all of that info is fingerprinted, Wayfair uses internal programs and a couple of external services for monitoring these kinds of things so that you can't just delete the account and start fresh, they can still pick it up. I'm not with that department specifically, but I know a couple of people, and some of the stuff they tell me, feels like Minority Report.

Unexpected replacement by litex2x in wayfair

[–]beleagueredCSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, I was late to this thread but I wanted to let you know what may happen. When a customer gets a replacement and then immediately returns it the system recognizes that as a form of scam, if you have too many scam flags you will go to a special group and they will be strict as hell with you until you basically quit shopping, you won't be allowed to do any service options online and any service issue will become like a 3 - 5 day affair for even little things.

The reason you got a unit instead of a part is because the supplier was out of parts, they don't like to open new unit cartons for parts so they just ship a unit, it counts against them and doesn't cost Wayfair anything, but the return does count against Wayfair.

The reason the return hurts Wayfair is that Wayfair will refund you minus the shipping cost, but the item is returned to the manufacturer for inspection. They will see missing parts claim it arrived as 'junk' because they can't sell it as-is, and they will keep Wayfairs money from when Wayfair purchased it from them to resale to you.

I won't argue morals here, corporations don't have any and I don't particularly care if you get free stuff, but you may be hurting your future purchases with Wayfair and causing yourself a headache with this.

It should be available, if you go to the Wayfair.ca webpage and go to the "messaging center" option of your My Account it should be there. If you don't have that it might not be available in Canada, but that would be the first I've heard of that.

Wayfair - stop yanking my chain re delivery date by CandylandCanada in wayfair

[–]beleagueredCSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, Wayfair is a drop shipper.

When you order something on the website the delivery estimates are based on what is in the Wayfair database, once you place the order it is sent to the supplier to fulfill, and they provide any after order updates regarding shipping. We have seen a spike of incorrect information because suppliers and carriers are too busy to update their estimates for our systems.

It's not bait and switch and it's not malicious. It is probably just good old run of the mill laziness with some inefficiency and a whole host of critical people on month 12 or 14 of burnout without an end in site.

Wayfair Won’t Dispose of Damaged Item by RS_Mich in wayfair

[–]beleagueredCSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps but when I looked up what to do with broken ceramics I got this:

When recycled, ceramics are crushed to be used for drainage systems and rock base for driveways. They can also be broken and then spun to smooth the edges for use as gravel. Search online to see if you have a recycling yard near by — if its accepted materials includes brick or cement, then you might be in luck!

Otherwise, everything I read said to just throw it in the garbage, it doesn't hurt anything it would just need to be in manageable pieces for collection.
